How often do cuemakers make their own blanks for sneaky petes / hustlers?

Gotta love internet grudge matches. How a difference of opinion in what constitutes the cost of a sneaky, turns into who can beat who for the cash, is totally beyond my comprehension LOL Wow guys. We were talking about $1000 sneaky petes, not instigating money games. Both of you take a rest & save your dough. No reason for the negativity. It's Christmas. Give each other a break for the holiday, huh?

Many manufacturers buy parts, castings, and etc made by others. You do what you do best, most economical or time utilization.

Hot rodders will buy a motor and then do their magic.

A watch manufacturer will start with a ETA movement and then refine it.

As stated by Qbuilder. There is more to a sneaky than adding a joint and tip. It is the tweaking that is involved.

10-ball. Race to 21 for $2,000.

I'd like to cover my expenses (travel, hotel, missed work), if I win, so don't interpret this as a "high-roll" maneuver.

And to make it interesting, let's add this to the wager as well

I have cleared my Private Message box, so we can "iron out the details".

When would you like to play?

That's funny. My pm box has plenty of space as well.
Also, since I do not like to give away my money I am not Santa Claus, your dad or sign you month Social Security check, come down to Hard Times or California Billiards to play some. Just let me know when.
What's funny as well is the fact that you said you lived in California and now you do not live here anymore? Interesting...

Looks to me like Crawdads are in season

My original thought was that the game be made here in "public" and we discuss the small details (game rules, etc) in private, as not to further hijack this already ruined thread. It looks like I will have to spell everything out.

You used to sell kites. Do you still continue to sell kites? I can always be more specific and post a few links if you would like me to refresh your memory.

It sounds like you cannot make up your mind whether or not you want to play, so I will try and make this as simple as possible.

Accept my offer.

(If you no longer wish to play, please skip down to the last sentence of this post).

Post 50% (that's $1,000) at California Billiard Club. This money will act as a "guarantee" that you show up, post the other remaining $1,000, and play (it will also spare me the inconvenience of having to travel all that way just to get jerked around). Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the original money.

Get back to me when you have done so, and I will make arrangements to do the same.

Otherwise, stop running your mouth.

I will stop running my mouth when you stop stalking people on this forum.
Second, it would be nice to identify yourself and you can do that in private. My pm box has plenty of space for you.
Third, and I will be really honest with you, I do not have the same type of payroll you are on, that is the reason I challenged you for a smaller amount, and I could go more, no problem, I would even do the 2K or more if I could find a backer.
As well I thought per your previous posts that you lived in California, I guess that is not the case.
Anyway, I am not backing out but I will be more than happy to play some with you. In the next few months I will be in Dallas, Phoenix and Vegas if that is close to you.
Sent you a pm as well.
I do wish you a Merry Christmas, believe it or not.

I know Bill McDaniel did when he was making cues and Tim Scruggs did and I'm sure Hangemhigh can as he worked on was a craftsman working on cues for for both of them. But there is a little more to making one from a blank than just cutting it half and threading it together. If that is what you want just buy a cheap production hustler cue.

Try reading the heading for this thread which is 'How often do cuemakers make their own blanks for sneaky petes/hustlers?' I was just trying to put the thread back on track.

Probably my top sneaky pete ever was a Sugartree, a cocobolo one. I regret selling it up to this day.
I just sold a Bender that played jam up as well.
