I know Joey, Hu, and Lock are from the LA area and I hope everything is getting better. Hu was refugee status last week and had to be exported out the area. He asked me last week to let all his friends on AZ know that he is ok. He keeps communication with quite a few people and did not want them be alarmed since he will be out of action with the internet for a while. BUT THAT WAS A WEEK AGO!!!! And I did post....but somehow it ended up in the testing area. STUPID ME!! I'm so sorry to all his friends and to him especially because he has always been one to respond promptly with something thoughtful when asked.

Anyways, he has emailed me twice since the hurricane. It is not easy for him since he is out of his environment, however he is a champ and will brush big things off like its all crumb-cakes. He'll say he's ok, even after the kitchen table flipped upside down on him.

But that is the report. And again, to all his close friends: I'm sorry for the goof up.

Have a nice day!

Hu is a tough cookie....aint no hurricane gonna defeat him.
But I'm glad to hear some news...Hu is a special person.

thanx, C

I wanted to start a thread a few weeks ago trying to see if Hu needed help but after meeting him this spring I knew he would of not wanted it handled like that, so I chose other options to find him.

Hu has got his hands full right now and I wish I could help but he told me he can handle it and will be back.

Isaac was like no other storm that I can remember. Its hard to prepare for something like this and I wish Hu and all the others who are still dealing with the aftermath good luck.

Positive energy and prayers sent.

alive and well

I am indeed alive and well. My computer is vacationing in a storage building and I had issues getting e-mail to work on someone else's machine. Mostly everyone needs it for business related activities so not much time to play on AZB. Putting in long hours and traveling an hour back and forth doesn't leave me too inclined to play on the 'puter anyway.

My home became lakefront property then lake bottom property. My river of wood that I had been babying for ten years was in my bedroom while my shop was being moved. Everybody knows that lake bottom wood is highly desirable and I'll be letting some go cheaply soon!

Thanks for the kind words and thoughts, I'll be back, just other priorities for awhile.

Thanks for the update. We do not like to be called refugees, we are simply displaced. They called us that word doing Katrina and it sounded horrible. Like we were from another place besides the USA. I am glad to hear that Hu is OK. I appreciate this thread a lot. Thank you very much. I will Buffalo Billiards, the worlds pool hall and the gang know that Hu is OK, flooded out. If there is anything I can do tell him to let me know!
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

Hello Hu,
I am very to see you post in this thread. And that you are well and kicking good! Sorry about your lost. I have been there myself. I need to move farther north in Mississippi somewhere. Oh, then I might be to far from the worlds pool hall. If it is anything I can do for you Hu, just let me know! Wow! Glad, glad, glad that you are OK again!
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

Hu,
Will talk to you later today, hopefully.

Hunker down, stay dry, get new powder.
Joey

Was wondering where you were....

Sorry to hear that Issac hit you pretty badly, but gladder that you're okay, still have your sense of humor, and ready to put things back in order. Hang in there my friend.

Hey Hu;

Glad to see your post and if there's anything your fellow az'ers can do to ease the burden, please let us know.

Hang in there.

best,
brian kc

thanks all!

The only thing I need is a boatload of patience, maybe two! My kind and gentle neighbor across the street chased off people with a gun a few times lately and the neighbor across the other street used a baseball bat to explain things. I am of course still my sweet mellow self! Tough to maintain with stupidity running rampant around here.

Got to post a chuckle in the gun thread and then I am out of here till tomorrow or so. Later folks and thanks for the thoughts!

Hu

Hu...I gave Keebie a ride from NO to Lafayette yesterday, and thought about you as I drove by your place. Sorry to hear about getting storm damage, but I know you'll "weather" it! LOL Stay cool my friend...I'm chillin' in Lafayette through the weekend.

Hu, hope and pray that you and the others down there get back on your feet soon. Take care.

Kinda of ironic

I was visiting relatives this spring and I got the chance to meet Hu. We got together at Buffalo's and shot some and then he showed me the way to one of his favorite places to eat. This place was knocked out during Katrina but the owners did not give up and rebuilt it, and I am glad they did.

When we were on our way to this reincarnated eatery we were over taken by a down pour. I will never forget what Hu told me as water was starting to come in the bottom door seal of my car.>> " You better head for higher ground, car rental companies don't take kindly to folks bringing back their cars full of water".

Hu I wish I could help you out......I owe you one:cool:

Jim...Those downpours are something! The sky opens and down it comes. Happened yesterday afternoon, just as I was dropping grey ghost off at Fast Eddies in Lafayette. How to get SOAKED in 30 seconds flat! LOL
