To any Huebler expert....

Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of a Huebler cue with Dufferin and Huebler on the buttcap?

Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a very old Huebler sneaky that is a house cue conversion (Valley I think) and that could be your answer here. Mine doesn't even have the brown bumper. Maybe Paul converted a Dufferin 1 piece and wrapped it with linen. Just curious, does this have the nylon insert in the shaft?

Yes Sir, it does. And that distinct ping sound. Plays great.
Trying to find some info. A conversion was a possibility I was thinking of.
Thanks for the response. Let me know if you have any other ideas.
Thanks

might be a special order....
might be a conversion....
might be a promotional cue....

any info... Thanks.

dufferin / huebler

well actually this is a promotional style cue, nothing of high significance. Huebler did a lot of these promotional style, dave and busters for example. But a huebler is a huebler.

Huebler Cue ID help

I remember the promo cues for "Clicks" billiards. Simple, but did play like a Huebler.

Thanks to everyone. So the Dufferin on the buttcap is most likely a a promo. With it being a promo for dufferin, I would assume it's still a Huebler original blank? The points are pretty sharp in person and look alot like the angle that most Hueblers have.

Thanks... any info is appreciated...

Dufferin game rooms in Canada used to sell a line of Huebler's in their stores (before they went broke). They all had Dufferin stamped on end cap. They are not Dufferin house cues that are converted.

Very normal up here.

Nick

That used to be my cue and case. Pretty isn't it. I regret trading it. If its for sale, let me know.

History - Every year, Dufferin used to get a known cue maker to make a special edition Dufferin line for them. These were made by Paul Huebler. I think that for all intent and purpose that is a Huebler you are playing with, just with a Duff logo as well.
Now thats the story I heard from a couple of guys. Nick could also be correct in that maybe Dufferin used to sell a line of Hueblers
and thats exactly where it started and ended, with just Huebler and no other cue makers.
When I had the cue, I contacted Roy Mason, also on AZ and a Canadian cue maker. He is the local Duff expert and most likley the guy who told me the story.

Original tips unless you changed them yourself.

Not a promo cue, I can assure you. The Huebler, Clicks etc promo cues were a totally different animal.

I believe that the guy I bought it from lives in Canada too. Early 80's if I remember correctly.
It had very little play on it when I got it and I shot a few games with it. It went to Lenny and then probably yourself.
If I had known that Lenny was just going to flip it, I wouldn't have traded the way I did. Once it was his, he could do anything he wanted with it. Its just something that wouldn't have taken place.

Terry.
PS - I have very old Huebler (no logo on the butt cap) Someone was selling an identical and got $300 for his not long ago here.
I'd be willing to do a trade and cash or something like that if you should want to sell. I also have a nice Joss and other too.

Thanks, Terry, Nick... and everyone.

The cue is not currently for sale, just wanting to collect some info about the cue itself.

Thanks again!

Hello What you have is a Huebler cue it was made in Linn Mo, at Pauls Shop it isnt a do over, slash conversion it is just a Huebler cue that Dufferins Logo was added Paul did indeed make cues for alot of different Companies over the years. Baileys, Clicks, Fox and Hound, Dave and Busters just to name a few. He also allowed sellers to place their logos on some cues, in Europe it wasthe Lowen company. I have been a long time friend of Pauls. I own one of the largest if not the largest colection of unplayed custom Huebler cues.
Paul has never converted any other cue makers cue such as valley ( MEUCCI ) did that. Paul is one ot the best cue builders that spliced his own cues. That cue was made in the mid 90s with that Logo. It would be safe to say they were only offered in Canada not in the US and sold by Dufferin
Just as the Clicks cues are here.

If you need any futher info, or if anyone else has any Huebler cues that need an ID feel free to contact me 501 454 9283 Terry B
PS Even the Meucci made cues in Linn Mo and were sold under the Meucci custom cue logo also known as the QB line, but are Huebler cues
