But i still do not know the correct description or serial nr of it.

Does anybody know this ?

And, what kind of HUEBLER Cue are YOU playin`, if.

@Sore_Aintya

very nice 1 :)

If i`m going to buy a new one, i will fall in love with an Richard Black Cue or an oooold Joss ;)

Huebler has sold that same basic cue for many years. In the Bluebook, I think it's called "HS-2", which stood for Hitter Series. They still have one like it, now called the ES4 (Elite series):

I have always liked Huebler cues. I bought a one in the early 1990's and played with it for many years. I still have one of the last (if not the last) Ivory Chess Set cues made, and it is new, unchalked and unplayed made in 1997. I also have some older Hueblers from the 1970's first catalog, and a custom shop Ivory twist cue made in 1995.

Huebler is winding down. The cues are no longer in the limelight, but the customs and older cues still have a core of fans who appreciate the work Paul did by hand for so many years. He's an honest, old school man - a talented craftsman, and a decent, reliable fellow. I have a lot of respect for Paul Huebler.

I've owned this cue as my main shooter for over 20 years. It was purchased used and I've only ever seen one similar to it.

I'd sure like to know things like the model and original price..etc.

real soon, I'm gonna get my baby refinished.

Mr. Wilson, your cue is similar to AS-8, however, the extact model I am unsure of.

The cue is full splice construction and the Diamonds are Ivory, and I suspect that your cue was made in the Early 90's or very late 80's.

The cue would cost around $750.00 new from Paul Huebler today.

Mr Wilson if you want more information please contact Paul Huebler at 1-573-897-3179/3777/3592.

Mr. Wilson and MFelsen,

I don't know if you have nice Huebler cases yet. I have a couple I special ordered (size) from Paul. I think mine were $150 or $175 each. They are high quality stitched vinyl luggage-style and the cue is fitted into the case (it's molded) , so it holds the cue snugly. Mine holds the cue, two shafts, and has an extra compartment.

It makes a nice presentation for the cue.

My favorite is the open cue

I think it was originally made for a US Open. It is an outstanding design. I keep an eye out to see if I can get one relatively cheap, and get it refinished if required.

Outstanding in person.

Well, my understanding was he had sold it and retired, but then he came back a few years ago and took it back. Last I knew (as of a few months ago) he was still running it.

Chuck, Paul did retire and sell the Business. However, Business deals in small towns like Linn, MO can go south. The individuals who purchased the business were employees and financial obligations were never met according to agreements made. Paul, again took control in 2002 or 2003, and has been running things again since.

I heard that the biggest problem was that they (the employees who bought the place) thought that the wood stock was included in the price when it wasn't and that's why the deal fell through. That being said, I wasn't that impressed with the cues that were coming from them at that time either.

@Zeeder

i think, the wood stook is the most important thing for an really good Cue Maker and ... it might be the most expensive one, too !
