Tweet definitely says $500k, which begs the question: Who is staking Frosty?
Was it Dippy who tweeted it? I think it would be within the realm of possibility that Dippy had a typo in his tweet :grin:

This is just a guess and speculation...........
Dippy stated earlier this week that he hasn't won a set against Frost. And they played a few this week. Which leads me to believe that he is probably down about that much. Which leads me to believe that Frost wouldn't need a backer as he would be in Dippy's pocket. And also it sounds like Frost is giving Dippy a chance back at his own money with the HUGE spot! 19-4? thats just crazy talk......

Sorry, I can't see anybody staking a pool player for $500,000; Obviously Dippy could fade that amount for the high stakes poker I've seen him play, but a pool player? Did someone say Dippy already owes him that much? I just can't see it. Must be some mistake.

Heard it through the grapevine -- not sure how reliable it is or up to date -- but after Scott pocketed 70 large, he proceeded to play another set for 100, won the set for 100. So Scott wins two sets for 70 and 100.
Everything is currently on hold or in the mildew stage.
If I hear anything further through the grapevine -- again, not sure how reliable or up to date it is -- I'll post more.

Scott will have to do the chop-chop with his cornerman, his coach, his manager, his agent, et cetera, et cetera, if you catch my drift. When it's all said and done, I'm not sure what percent Scott pockets.
The money, however, was locked up in a safe deposit box in a casino to ensure payment, whoever ended up winning.
It's probably still a nice little chunk of cheese, though.
Pshss...170k isn't that much $!! I make that much in a decade!
