John played well himself, put plenty of heat on Mike. John dogged one shot and that was all she wrote! Like Mike or not he played some very nice pool tonight on some cloth I believe is very tough to play straight pool on.

If I ever had any doubt about why he is called "The Mouth" it is gone after listening to this match.

I hate to admit it but the man can still play. That was NOT the same Mike that played in the IPT turnaments. He looked very confident after he ran the first rack. I turned it off at 50-14...I could see The Mouth was on a mission. I do think it proved Mike can still hold his own with anybody. Congrats Mike. Johnnyt

When Mike cut that 13-Ball in the corner for a Massive Break-out, he must have had the confidence and balls it takes to execute such a shot when John Schmidt was sitting nearby just waiting for a chance to run-out on him ... A missed shot there would have certainly meant a loss for Mike ...

Again, it is SO nice to see a former Champion rise to the occasion ... I hope this is just the beginning of a return to prominence for Mike Sigel ...

or his commmentary after his match, he loves himself, althugh last time I spoke to him it was about marketing and he listens real good to. he is good in the booth for 10-15 mins during along match to break things up or to give the other guys a break, but for 4 hours he is a bit intense, but like I said i tried doing that and its HARD.

Actually I was not referring to his commentary. During his match with JS he was talking non stop while he was at the table. He was relating his every shot to anyone and everyone that was listening. I swear the only time he wasn't talking was while he down stroking a shot.

I do give him credit for remaining silent while JS was at the table.

He's always done that. It's like Johnny picking lint or Earl picking a fight. I think it's what he needs to stay comfortable and focused.
