WTF are you talking about? I play in front of all kinds of people. From DCC to right down the street. It makes no difference to me.Please for the love of God come play her!!! Come down here and play....in fact I hope the show goes to a season two and she can play you then on camera..with the spot you are so generously giving her. She will embarrass you....I heard you fold like origami when people are watching you....letss see how you do when it an entire ****ing country is.
Emily isn't a world beater, but I've seen her go hill hill at turning stone against solid players, where she had break and runs on diamond tables in major tournament conditions. So you can't say she is a D player.
I've said before editing is everything. Yes she scratched, but the next three turns at the table could have been kicks out of safes or anything. Maybe Amy got ball in hand and used out to play safe? The editors need to keep the flow of the match so they cut right to her running out which could've been ten minutes later. So that ten minutes not being showed makes it all fake?
Also the show is super highlighting the spot/handicap aspect of pool. When Amy gets the crazy spot of Emily having to bank four balls before making the 8, I'm sure a light went off on any viewer who was nervous to step into a match with a more experienced player.
The spot had never been a topic of discussion on televised pool before because it's always been professionals playing professionals. This opens up the game to not just a whole new set of potential players, but an even bigger new set of potential viewers.
She's B plus. Not a top female player....sorry.
She scratches and all balls on table are as she left them. Then she's finishing the rack....nonsense. stop drinking the coolaid.
Parts of episode 4 took place in Scott Simonetti's homeroom at Castle Billiards in East Rutherford NJ.
The match between Gary and Justin was filmed at VIP, out on Long Island.
As previously mentioned, Scotty went to practice at his home room at Castle Billiards in NJ. This is the room that hosted the SVB/Shaw epic earlier in the year.
Boy oh boy...is Borana Andoni good looking, or what???

I just rewatched the scene a few times. When Emily scratched, the nine is two diamonds up the rail, and the fifteen is a hanger. Then when she is about to sink the 8, the nine is by the third diamond, and the fifteen ball is a diamond away from the pocket. This indicates there was a few more attempts at the table by Amy after that scratch and she wasn't really good at making anything.
And what outcome would've made for better drama? The wildcard Amy actually winning in her first attempt at matching up? Or Emily winning? The pressure was all on Emily and she performed superb and I'm quite sure the director would've soaked it up if she lost to Amy after the back and forth that they had earlier in the episode.
No Kool-aid here. Just the facts.
Do they pay you? Are you a cheerleader or do you actually play this game?
She doesn't run out as they filmed episode 1 with the 2 unable to pass the 9. It's indisputable.
You think if you say something enough times it's true. The girl can't play and wants to be a pro so she is...okay. If some Bplus male player went around saying he's pro you would think he's crazy but for her sure lets give her a pass. You embrace mediocrity and it becomes the norm. She hasn't won a single event or come in top 3 but she makes a living off pool. She couldn't run out of a burning building.
Thank you!!!
I don't know where they intend to get the freshness. After the first half hour of the first episode I had heard all the playground woofing I need to hear for a lifetime - but that seems to be the whole premise of all four episodes so far.As long as they keep it fresh it might last.
It's the only "story arc" they have so far... and it's too trivial and meaningless.*Too much talk about "The List"

I don't mean to be pointlessly mean, but I don't think this show will survive long without some more substance - then what will the cheerleaders-no-matter-what have to cheer about?

I'd like to see a real reality show following real pros in real competitions - not made-up "hustlers" acting out made-up "matches" to get on a made-up "list".I'll ask again. What would you like to see?
