I Cant Stand It...

poor Jay . . . . .

Don't you mean that in all the times that you and Jay have played he has only managed to beat you once? On the other hand you have an outstanding record against him, having only lost once.

It's all in the spin! :D :D :D

That must make you either the second best banker on AZ or the first. Now which is it?
Joey?A

Now wait a second... I know you and Jay are both some pretty wealthy people.... when you say he beat you playing banks that takes on a different image in my head.

That doggone Jay. He has it all, doesn't he? He's got big time bucks, plays real strong banks and is good looking (not that he's my type). Next thing I'll hear about him is that he's dating Shanelle. How come he gets all the rolls????

E Dog, this is a very short story. Why don't you want to go into the gory details?

You know, the 15-20 games of 9-Ball you got to rack for me. HA HA! And then the Race To Three Banks, not one game. How many banks did you get in three games? HA HA!

Thanks buddy, I had a great time. I always have fun with you and I think all the racking is good for your back. Didn't you tell me how much better you were feeling?

By the way, I loved that car (or was it a boat) that you somehow found in a garage in Beverly Hills. I've never even heard of a Rolls Royce Phantom. How many of those things do you have stashed around L.A.? And wasn't that other little gem in the garage some kind of exotic Lotus sportscar? See, I pay attention too.

In all seriousness, I felt bad for Fatboy. He played me for nearly three hours in obvious pain all the way. I told him if I felt like that, I wouldn't even play Pool. He's got guts is all I have to say, and he surely must love the game.

By the way, he never complained and had a good word for everyone who visited our table. Fatboy is a great guy and a good friend. And he can play too. It's not hard to see he has a nice strong stroke and knows what he is doing. It's just not easy to focus when you are so uncomfortable.
And the 4" super snuggies at Hollywood Billiards aren't much fun when you are out of stroke. Ernesto is a sick man.

Round three will be later this week. I'm gonna get Fatboy back in stroke.

its in pieces on the floor of one of the garages, i wil when the room is finished, it will have a 12' riley snooker and a 9' table, i'm gonna put a diamond bar box somewhere else in the house,

My new job:

Jays personal racking boy-it was a blood bath. My excuses are my own and I wil not make any but he beat me good yesterday. I was flat from the gate, I needed the racking practice anyways.

WHAT?!

Fatboy, this means way more than Jay padding his already gigantic record of pool victories, it means your "claim to fame" has now gone up in smoke...Poof...

At one time, you were able to say "I am UNDEFEATED playing Jay Helfert at banks. Sadly, those words can never be uttered again.

Fatboy, the clock is ticking. You have to book another winner soon. Or else, you risk this...
I'm 48 years old. Someday, my grandkids (who aren't born yet) will be driving around 30 years from now and Casey Kasem will be on the radio playing his music. Then, the countdown is interrupted with some syrupy music and he reads a letter from YOUR grandkids about how their granddaddy was a ONE HIT WONDER! Then, Casey plays something like
"Rock Lobster" or something else from an appropriate ONE HIT WONDER band. Your grandkids dab a klennex to their eyes and somehow find the strength to again face the world, knowing deep in their hearts is the truth about your cueing skillls...

Oh Fatboy, you gotta book another winner quick. Wait! I think I may have found you a match....

Does Jay have a grandkid who plays???? :D
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

And somewhere, Jay is smiling that pepsident grin, knowing that all is right again in the universe...

Good post, Fayboy! :)

You know what was funny. When we started playing the Banks, he looks at me and says "millions of people are sweating this match." I look around and maybe two people even notice us playing. I say "What?"

He says to me "Yeah, everyone on AZ will be sweating this." I quickly realize that the ever so smart Fatboy, my dear friend, is trying to shark the old sharkster. After that I amped it up a little bit. There were more than a few banks that opened his eyes wide. Tell the truth Fats. The old Jayster has a few good shots left in him.

Remember that first shot where you played me safe. And I banked the six ball cross corner, long rail. SWISH! Your exact words were "What did I get myself into now." My favorite line of the night. :)

You can always put it in the dining room --- my go to room when we lived in the condos --- didn't have the space you have.

No I said "What am I doing in this game?" as in I'm in way over my head, here someone throw me a rope.

Jay did turn it up a notch when I reminded him "and the millions watching world wide" to quote Michael Buffer the boxing announcer. We are in the corner of the pool room, nobody watching and I realized that after months of me trash talking here might get a few people interested. It was by far the biggest game of my life and the biggest audience I ever had. Jay did play better after that, I thought in game 3 I might have a shot I was out in front for a few minutes, but I couldnt make 2 in a row, I came with better shots than Jay but not consistant enough to be competitive. It was a move no doubt about it, but Jay didnt rattle. What else could I do? Play better? I forgot how to play not move. ;)

My back is feeling better, its been along time. If I keep feeling better Jay wont have it so easy. Time will tell. One thing is certain we will play again and the smart money is on.....

:)

I was thinking about it all night long, I got up at 530AM thinking the exact samething, my career is over now, my public image is ruined, the fan club is losing members, etc. no memorial tournment when I kick the bucket.

All joking aside i did wake up at 530 and i'm still burning up, i'll be at the pool room later taday thats for sure, I dont have the best of it, but I cant stand to get drilled either. I'll fix that.

Dont hold your breath, just count your $$$. ;) :D

Hey Fatboy - been a while since I spoke to you last. Sorry to hear about your bank debacle! I know when you get that sweet 9' up and running, maybe you can cut the margin back a little w/ Jay! I am still hoping to find time to get on a plane and make a run to the desert!

i got butchered, it will be a while before i have a table set up, i got out of the desert, they can have the 110 days.

I can't believe Earl and BJ got all the attention last light when FatBoy and Jay were hooked up in Hollywood. Next time you two are getting together, let me know and I'll be there with my wireless to post the play-by-play for Azers. BTW, I'll commentate, but under no conditions will I ever hit another confidence-shattering shot on Ernesto's Hollywood Torture Devices. Did everybody check to see if a ball will actually fit in one of those pockets?

Kevin
