I just got booted from the Inside Pool stream of Allison vs Yu Ram.:mad:

The only thing I typed bad was "su.cks"

Is that a no no???

Did I piss someone off???

Some of the stuff in that chat was just too dumb for words. To the point that for the first time I can remember I went full screen to get rid of it. Especially when the women were playing. Maybe it is like that in all of the events, I don't usually have time to pay much attention but I will from now on.

Crazy what a little anonymity will do.

I dont see how saying sucks is worth a boot but with all the idiocy you probably just got caught in a shotgun attempt at moderation. I could definitely see a scenario where a sponsor would rather not have the chat running and make their support conditional on it. Some ribbing and good natured humor is all good but man put a chick on the stream and people act like they are 14 again.

I didnt see the LV vs VV match but heard they shut the chat down. If the stuff tonight was similar I can see why.

Tonight wasn't close to the vile shit that was being said during Vivian and Jeanette's match, but like you said, put a pretty woman on the camera and a lot of men???, go back to 7th grade.
 
Moderation IS necessary, especially in the ladies matches.

On my show, the three foul rule is in effect. If Myself or the moderators delete your comments twice, you are on two. Third time and you're kicked. Kicked is only a 15 minute break I believe.

I mainly use ban for spammers. I wish more streamers would adopt a similar system.

I did an entire Ladies event and didn't ban anyone. A couple of people did get on two, but no one fouled out! :D

Sounds like you have a good handle on how to run a chat room.

The others may be newbies at it.

Hopefully, they'll learn the ropes someday and innocent chatters can continue to chat.

I stay away from the chat rooms. I also don't have 7, 8, 9, and 10 hours to sit in front of a computer watching a pool game. LOL! :grin-square:
 
now I'm jealous....I wanna get booted. I guess on Ray's stream I've only made it to two. I'm gonna hafta try harder is all I know. Maybe I'm not ticking off the right people. If I blow stream kisses to Trig all night, would that do it? Probably not, everyone does that. I dunno, but it's a new goal for me ;)

It's probably a good thing I don't watch the women streams. I know they can play but for the most part the pool is inferior and it's hard to get bets on the womens matches which is a big part of why I watch in the first place. The free chat can get cluttered with a lot of people that have no idea about pool. There are also an abundance of spammers lately. I haven't been privvy to the streams in question where all of the problems arose but I can imagine.
 
mine was different !

when i was banned it was a total mistake poolhustler. i never even used any 4 letterwords at all. i am sorry you got the boot .i was not watching the chat . when the girls started playing i and a few friends went somewhere else to chat. the chat was way too crowded for this slow typer to keep up. let alone read it that fast.

imo when it gets like that it just isn't worth the effort. and the moderation
seems a little off. they should have more than one mod that that is not always present. as i know people told me for a whole day of being out there is no moderator ! inexperience is another lable to mention.
i think the mod should give more answers to the chatroom than attemps
to get side action imo.also i think they should try to warn the chatroom to
settle down when it gets out of hand. i used the pm to send a few warnings when i was a mod.

it is no secret that the mods name is cuezilla. they do have a website
and i did go there to gain an email address so i could help myself out of jail.
you could do the same. but i don't think i should give it out.

I was in bed still recovering from the flu and didn't even know Ali and Yu Ram were playing on the stream. Sounds like I missed an interesting chat with 7th graders. Damnit! lol

Every time its the same thing during female match. Someone wants to point out how the men are better and some guy should put a dress on and play in the WPBA.(So funny AND original!).

Then some idiot wants to know why the women can play in the men's events but the men cant play in the Womens-Always a brrilliant argument. Then some real "insider" with knowledge no one else has, wants to crudely comment on the sexual preference of someone. Sometimes i just want to quit the human race.

Welcome to the Forum Pool World! I totally empathize with your post. :frown:

The Internet has its problems with multiple-identitied trolls. It is hard to believe that people have to create "secret" identities so they can act like jerks. They seem to enjoy causing hurt and/or anger, and if that doesn't work, they become vulgar. It's sickening.

I talked to him before the match and he said he was gonna shoot Efren's liver in........guess he did.:cool:

He had a match right after the 1P but I will probably hear from him today, I will tell him for you.
