Man did this bring up a memory. There was a couple that my parents knew when I was a kid. They lived in a trailer home in PA. They had another "friend" invite them over for dinner and started talking Amway. The husband got really excited because at the time work in the area was slim. They signed up and the guy did his best to sell the crap that they purchased. When they talked to the "friend" again and asked why they wern't making the money that they were promised the "friend" stated that he thought it was time to make them a "distributor". No sales involved all they did was supply the people that sold the product. Seeing dollar signs in his eyes the guy signed the piece of paper. Well @ 2 in the morning on a chilly Jan evening they get a knock on the door. When they answered it there was a truck driver there with their first shipment. An 18 wheeler full of Laundry Detergent. The truck driver stated that he delivered it and he was not responsible for unloading it. The driver climbed in his cab and went to sleep while this guy and his wife unloaded the 18 wheeler into their trailer home. They had boxes and boxes of Laundry Detergent. The biggest surprise is when they got the invoice for the Detergent. I know it took them a good 2 years to pay off the invoice and another 3 years to finally get rid of all that Detergent. My parents bought a lot from them cuz they felt sorry for them. So did a lot of their friends. Mysteriously there wern't a lot of sales people asking for their supply.
