I officially can't wait to retire from the pool world. One of these days I'm going to disappear from pool world, keep my friends and enjoy life. Too many haters and enemies that can't get a life. it's shame people can't respect people around them in this world. On the other hand when I was young, I'm glad I learned to respect everyone around me. #*%# you haters!! Haters will never be successful.👎

I think he'll get over it. If he wasn't so good and on the minds of so many people he wouldnt have the critics he does. Brandon Shuff don't have too many. He should probably change his settings also where no one can post a thing on his page except him.

That will be sad . Maybe the best 9-baller of all time just quit b/c of social media.
Lebron James has MILLIONS of haters. But, he won't quit b/c of them.

Shame that people are that jealous of a great player they would make him want to quite the game he loves.

I must have missed something over the weekend, did something happen to cause his posting?

Absolutely nuts.

You are nobody on the internet if you don't have your own pack of screaming monkeys.

It's the new deal.

No doubt, SVB has a pack of idiots howling at him. He needs to learn to deal with it.

Shane one thing I learnt a long time ago is that people hate winners! No matter what sport it is or really anything. I am no where near as good as you but have been dealing with all of my life as well. Most of the haters cant or do not want to put the time in it takes to do anything good. They just want to degrade the ones that do. It took me years to just say, screw em. Life to to short to worry about it. Just do what you do best and keep bringing in the money. In the end you will be the winner. Hell you are already a winner to me.

Best baseless guess, people coming at him for another international loss.

Well when you lose the best thing you can do and I learned this the hard way is congratulate your opponent thank the TD and those involved and ride off into the sunset
Instead he posts his displeasure with the tables and the breaking rules I'm sure adding fuel to that fire

Even at My age, there are times when I wish I had returned to The Family Farm
after eight years of Flying for Uncle Sam's Navy instead of settling in Silicone Valley,
becoming financially successful, and complicating my life in the process.
Success comes in many forms and at varying degrees.
Hopefully, Shane will choose what is best for Shane and everyone else be damned.

Maybe his frustrations lie deeper than you think.
What has he got to look forward to. There is no professional pool players association. No structured organization that could provide him earnings through the years to come.
What does the young man do about the usual necessities of life? Does he have health care? Is there a 401K he can contribute to, or put his winnings into? What will happen to him when he reaches his sixties and wants to retire like many of the rest of us?
A professional pool player has absolutely nothing to look forward to, yet many of us want him to keep playing so that we might be entertained. Very sad.

i agree he brings some of it on himself
he used to actually respond to people on fb harking at them and quoting his resume

after his performace at the latest mosconi and his way below par year so far for him he gets a few haters and decides he will quit?

BS ..he loves the game and to get where he wants to be be he has a lot more to prove

I'm going to agree with this 1000%! It definitely goes deeper than we think.

Somebody made a comment about LeBron,,,,, how much does LeBron make? Millions right!?!?! How much does Shane make? Eeehhhh mi,,,,'ll,, eehhhh oh yeah, "thousands"!

Great post tramp, you nailed it!

Who hates Shane? I haven't come across anyone who has posted in a hateful way about him. Quite the opposite actually. I have felt he is one of the most respected pool players of our time. I also think he carries himself vey professionally during tournaments and seems to engage with the fans. What have I missed?

Not sure who the haters are, but here in America, it's practically unanimous that Shane is our very best player.

His frustration is perfectly reasonable, however. His fellow American players have not followed his admirable lead, falling far short in their work ethic and shunning playing pool internationally. In a purely professional way, he probably feels a bit lonely and betrayed.

Pool in America is hurting and there is no end in sight. I think we've hit bottom in having five of the nine Mosconi qualifying events being bar table events. That certainly won't close the gap between American pros and other pro pool players.

Shane has had a poor start to 2015 on the tables, so he has a right to feel a little down, but he's still America's best, and he'll turn it around soon enough.
