I hope this isn't a typo...

is there any commentating over the matches? i'd like to hear the experts discuss what the players were doing and why.

I have not watched the whole set, but from the matches that I have watched about half have commentary and the other half do not.
 
When I saw this thread I didn't believe it. When I ordered and got my confirmation email I didn't believe it. When I got my tracking number I still didn't believe it. When UPS delivered it and I opened the box and saw them I still had my doubts. Now after watching the first dvd, I guess I believe it, but I'm not sure. Shoot, you can pay 4 bucks for a half dozen empty DVD cases. :)

UPS has arrived

Just got my DVD's and there is a DVD in every case. Hope they play good. I'll be watching pool all week end. Good deal.
 
Ordered my set on Monday & received them Tuesday! Watched the first DVD last night. Engert's bank against Robles was SICK! Jasmin miscuing because she hit the table with her cue was too.
 
OK, here's the deal

I watched the Ouschan vs Hopkins match. They missed so much that it was like one of my league matches. It just goes to show you how Great players like them are normal people too.
I am a jerk to get so down on myself for missing sometimes. I need to learn from this but it is hard when you are hard headed....LOL
The DVD is great & the filming was super clear. Can't wait to watch the other matches.
 
I got my three new sets today.

I gave one old set away to a friend last night.

check out the Engert/Robles match and tell me what you think about Engert's rhythm.

If he could bottle it and sell it, he could make a mint.
 
well, i just watched hopkins vs ouschan. both players played poorly. the only saving grace of that video was watching ouschan's butt as she racked the balls.
 
unless it's a problem with my computer, some of the matches have big gaps. i'm watching archer vs harriman and waiting for harriman to break but then it skips to archer shooting and the score is different. harriman's 11ball run on that rack vanished.
 
There are some other areas where they cut out racking, I guess to save disk space.

I would have thought all the matches would have had commentary.

Still a great deal, and some fine shooting.

they cut out an entire rack on archer vs harriman. harriman misses a routine break-ball and it bounced cross table and goes into the called pocket. "that counts doesn't it?" he said lol.... yeah, that counts....

I managed to get something from watching this instructional, Grady is knowledgeable as always. But I was asking myself how he maanges to explode the rack every time with such ease, must be new cloth because he didn't hit them hard. For $5 that's a very good deal IMO, yet it is an out-of-date VHS.
