Hey AZB, I always put input into others polls, so I wanted to start one of my own...

What game do YOU personally enjoy watching more at top caliber play AND why?

8-Ball
9-Ball
10-Ball
14.1 Straight Pool
One Pocket
Banks

I know I didn't include them ALL, so if you pick "other" please leave which game your would choose.

Thanks for your input
Carl

Wow

Just voted and got to see the results. 40% for one pocket(including me). I guess it must be all the diffrent type of shots you see. But for the less serious players I think it would have to be 9-ball or 8-ball cause thats what they know.

I still love watching top-caliber 8-ball the most, as long as the conditions are tough. Nothing still has beaten the enjoyment I've had watching 8-ball matches on the IPT.

Rotation games are too darn predictable. 14.1 is too mechanical for my tastes. I would vote one pocket only if it was Efren playing.

Ima hafta go with 10b or 1p.

Scratch that, 3c billiards crushes them both. Watching the CB travel a path 30'+ and then slow roll/ spin into the score is badass...

10b because the break is less a factor (unless you're SVB) because we make less balls so it requires trickier runouts.

14.1 too for the decision making

I voted other because football is the best game to watch. Now if I was wanting to watch a game of POOL, I would prefer to watch a game of Banks.

14.1 without question. Best game to play and best game to watch, especially if a true champion of the game is running balls. Love to see the patterns and strategy unfold, right before your eyes.

10 ball since it has all the necessary components, break, position and safes without most of the luck factor, 14.1 next for pure position, shooting and strategy.

I voted "other", because 3 cushion was not listed.

Favorite pocket games would be 14.1 followed by 8 ball on a 7 ft. Diamond.

Thanks to Fast Lenny, I am now a fan of 1 pocket and it ranks above 9 & 10 ball.

Yeah I agree, I voted for 8-ball as well. It needs to be played on a tight pocketed and bigger table. The 10-foot tables people are thinking might be a good switch for pro play would be awesome for 8-ball at the pro level as long as the pockets are cut fairly tight. On a table like that pattern play and position would be critical as Earl and Shane were both scared to shoot longer and tougher shots.

8-ball on that exact 10-foot table Shane and Earl did battle on would be a tough game with alot less chances to duck. It would be awesome.
