Hey my company is sending me to Fort Worth, TX for about 3 months and i need a place to play at. Can anyone recommend a good clean place to play. I will be staying on University on the West Fort Worth side. Also I would like to meet some fellow AZers if anyone lives there on this forum. Im coming from SoCal so looking foward to playing in some new halls.

The best place and close to you is Rusty's Billiards in Fort Worth off of Hwy 80. It's only a few miles from where you will be staying. I highly recommend it.

places to play

Rusty's is definately the place on the west side, if you get adventurous I can give you a few places in the Mid Cities.

When are you coming? I can contact you when you get here if you want to PM me your name and number.

Try to find a weekend when you can make it over to Dallas as well.....those Fort Worth people are a bit strange

Funny

I grew up in So CA and now live in Fort Worth. Not many what I would call "pool rooms". I got one ofthe the best playing tables in the near area - give me a shout if you'd like to play some.

He does have one of the best playing tables in the area! It is awesome!

Rusty's Billiards is a great pool room. I practice there all the time and they have tournaments Monday and Tuesday nights.

I will admit I am a little strange at times. I play out of Clicks in Arlington (Majesty Dr.) if you want to make a little drive.

does clicks still have free pool in the morning?

They have free pool all day on Monday (8-foot tables only).

They have a flat rate every day until 7pm. $3 for the 8-foot tables and $5 for the 9-foot tables.

Get there early on the weekends if you want a 9-foot table in the morning! :p

I can tell from experience you that Rusty's is a very nice place. And the folks are great, too! Gene and I have been down there twice, this year. We've had a blast.

Can't wait to go, again!

I didn't know you played out of Clicks #1. I associated you (I guess because of the AZB meet-n-greet tourney a couple of years ago) with Volcano's. Heck, I show up at your place every once in a while for my 9-ball league on Thursday nights. I really like the place. Good poolhall-like atmosphere (at least about as good as you can get these days ). Next time I'm there I'll look for you. Do you know the older gentleman Mike Morrissey? I play him fairly regularly every time our two 9-ball teams play one another.

I thought that is why he needed to make it over to Dallas... :)

Rusty's in Fort Worth is probably your best bet if you don't want to drive alot. They have pretty solid competition in their tournaments, especially on Tuesday night. If you show up there and want some competition, I am hanging around most nights, sometimes playing, sometimes at the bar.
