I never use the diamonds. How many of you do?

Absolutely do.

Unfortunately though, I only know one application
if going to a new table how could you ever even know where to hit on a rail to make banks and kicks especially multi rail ones.
Gotta stick a toe in thehe water to fin out what its like, of course.

The super computer that is the subconscious. Even if you are just knocking balls around, your subconscious is gathering information on the cloth, rails, ball condition and whatever else is going on.

When you go to shoot a bank you have all that info in there to help, whether you consciously realize it or not.

Nothing is perfect though so a system seems like a good way to have a “standard” reference point

you "test the table " and find the adjustment necessary

Not consciously. Maybe subconsciously. I find systems to be a distraction from developing feel.

I use them for reference. Helps me find the mid point on the rail quickly for a kick or bank. I don't aim at them or anything, but they are definitely a measuring tool i use.

I always find the mid point on the rail to visualize the cue ball path then shift the point in my head for the new path at different parts of the rail. Diamonds help me find the mid point.

I always rely on the diamonds for one, two and three rail kick shots and banks.
I seldom give ball in hand because my opponent played a safe hoping I’d miss.

And unsurprisingly, I pocket a lot of bank shots because I actually use a system.
The diamonds were not introduced as decorative inlays on the rails. It does work.

as a reference sometimes if I'm lost in a sea of green or blue and need a lighthouse to guide me around the rocks. I play a guy who always finds a reference point for his banks, for example he picks a spot on the wall or a table close by and if he shoots towards that spot he can make the CB go three rails into the corner. Whenever he needs to bank the ball three rails he sends it towards that spot. He doesn't always make it but he's always pretty close. He probably does the same for a few other banks just to have a few reference points during the game. Works for him, but I usually go by feel.

How does your system differ from the common ones?
The system gives a visual indication of how the naturally rolling ball arcs forward from the rail reflection.

I have been looking for a *.bmp, *.gif, *,jpg of a table with diamonds, proper pocket sizes, and nothing "on" the table so I can draw the drawing necessary to show how it works. But so far, I have run into no tables so drawn.

I might use them for reference or to estimate tracks and kicks, but it's generally all down to feel. At one point I could use half a dozen systems well, pretty much always getting a hit, but it was too much to think about and threw me out of my rhythm. I basically now only use it with 3 rail route and it's parallels. Even that is limited usefulness with fly on the wall and parallel shift.

I just look at it now and hit it with much better results, barring something dumb like a 4 rail kick. To me personally it's better to keep my head out of the game as much as possible, that way I can perform and focus on actual strategy and the ebb and flow of the game.
