<---Dumb and Dumber
Thanks to everyone involved. The updates were great from those that are there witnessing what may go down as the best tournament ever. Congrats to Efren! Good luck to those of you that are playing in the next event, may all the rolls go your way. I don't know about the rest of you but I loved it. Sure, a few things could be changed for the future, but it is the first tournament afterall. Congrats to the HOF'ers for receiving a free shot at $30,000, they all deserve it. FWIW, I can't wait til the next tournament begins. Peace, John.

They really do. It is only sad that they could not have "earned" the $30,000+ when they were in their prime and playing their best rather then being "gifted" the money far past their prime. Hopefully the IPT will fix this from now on, the true stars of this game will earn what they deserve in their prime and for their victories and wont need to be gifted a sum of money due to being short changed by the sport for their entire lives.

I don't know why we keep beating this subject about the Hall of Famers. At last someone did something for them. Particularly after "being short-changed by the sport for their entire live's." as you have stated. I'm certain this was a very good "Holiday Season" gift. This event is over now and many people should be happy for the "good fortune" of others.

Hi All

I just wanted to jump in here and say it was great meeting all the AZ,members. It is good to meet some of the people who you talk with over this web site.
Hopefully will see more of you at the next event.
Take care,

Did we meet Bob?

I met about 20 people over the week that knew me from AZ. T'was a pleasure to meet so many virtual friends in the real pool world.:D

Exactly, as I just stated. Your entire post just rehashed exactly what I said. I said they deserve the IPT payment they got, and it was simply a shame that the sport was in such a dismal state of being when they were in their prime. What is the problem you have with what I said again?

No offense buddy, but Celtic is right, you clearly misunderstood what he meant.

I agree. But I think Kevin should have found a way to put both Grady and Allen in the HOF bracket. Both these players' accomplishments and dedication to the game would have easily put them into the HOF; however, they have their differences with the BCA and will probably never be inducted.

Since the IPT has nothing to do with the BCA (I think), I'm not sure why they deferred to the BCA list on this. I think it would have been a grand gesture on Kevin's part to include them.

Just my opinion,
Steve

Good post Steve. I am though going to take the other side of this one.
Just guessing, Allen and Grady don't want to be given anything. They have both given their lives to the game. Both have tremendous pride. Both, tremendous competitors and promoters. In most of our hearts and minds, they are HOFers and nobody can take that away.
I'm happy with Kt's tactics. Don't even acknowledge The BCA. Let them fix this. After all, The BCA is the governing body of pool. Just take a look at what they have done for the game. Go ahead, look, it won't take long.
