I sold three cues, and bought this.....

You are crazy to sell that car!!!

But you could say the same thing to me when I sold my '68 Mustang GT F/B. It was a 390 (S Code Car) Springtime Yellow with black C-Stripes. One of many I regret selling.

I am currently having a blast with my new Shelby GT Mustang!!

I am not much of a big block fan. Crazy would have been selling my 66 GT 350 or my 63 K code Fairlane( page 28 of this months Muscle Car review ). Now if I could just make and sell enough cues to get a new Shelby GT 350, how crazy would I be?

I urge Mike to not ban the man for selling those beautiful cues for an old car. He meant no harm, just needed some transportation.

I have admired your taste in cues for some time and even bought a cue or two that you passed up. If one has a "vault of cues" with so many big cues that he only views some once or twice a year, I guess it makes sense to buy a gorgeous functional item like a convertable. Rims and paint are a home run on that Mazda. Respect

That having been said, Have you lost your mind????
I hope you will enjoy the Mazda in 5 years when she is showing signs of use and aging. Cues appreciate and few cars ever do...especially when the cars are being driven.

Bury a cue and watch it increase in value. Play with a cue loveingly and you will lose nothing. But cars are a whole different ball game. To insure, garage, maintain, pay taxes, register, repair, clean...I know you are happy now but I wonder how long you will feel this way.

Cues endure and cars dont.

I simply thinned the herd a little, and the cues I have left and those that are soon to come will definately appreciate. You certainly have a point, thanks. And yes, there are some who would say I lost my mind long ago ;)

I paid $32,000 for my Shelby 15 years ago and everyone thought I was a idiot. Two years ago I turn down $140,000, everyone thought I was an idiot. Now it's only worth $100,000. Only time will tell what something will be worth in the future. Just ask some Dale Perry owners.

Keep in mind you're showing this to a board full of cue enthusiasts... Of course everyone will say, "What were you thinking?!? More cues the better!!!"

But I'm right there with you.... by the end of this year I'll have close to a few years of the average working man's pay in wood that sits in the closet. Some has appreciated, some has not. The majority has not.........

In the end, all I do with most of these is show pictures of what I have. I enjoy them every few months when I take them out, but for all intensive purposes, I'd rather have something I can enjoy more. I think I'm following your lead in the next year with a couple of them, but I need a 2003/04 Cobra. :D

i am curious too to what 3 cues you sold tommy, that miata is not cheap!! i would sell 3 of my cues but i would be lucky to get a huffy for them lol!!

The cues I've sold this past year I put the money aside. Some of those cues were two fancy Prewitts, a Black Boar AS-10 and a couple of others. I'm not done collecting cues yet, wait till I show you whats coming :D

I love mustangs. I've had two over the years and the one below was the last one I had. At the time I was going to do an Sq Trim / forged internals, but then the kids came along and the rest is history. This one was a 02' true blue GT. I will have a 03/04 Cobra one day, just not today or tomorrow unfortunatly. Good luck.

I only thought I had this sold...guy couldn't come up with the $20K, so decided to keep it...agreed with House Man...'stangs are a good car...
