I Want Some More Action!!!

hmmmm??

what does this have to do with CB getting action? first it's bartram or bartrum. now it's people should wear classy clothing. people who know, know that i love to gamble. when i was on the road with chris i had 10g on me and refused to get an air matress or a stowaway bed in the hotel. why because i was on the road with him to make money. the money in my pocket was for gambling!

now getting back on topic. CB is getting action tonight in detroit. he will be playing ronnie 8-7 probably 6 ahead for 5k. now after he's done your probably more than welcome to ask him which is the proper spelling of his name and why he doesn't wear a suit and tie when playing a 5-10k match.

Cool!

Gary,

I don't think me and you have a disagreement, we just got off on the wrong foot

Blackjack,

I'm not sure what your attachment means because I can't access it but I'm sure it's humorous. You're carrying a stick around with you and you want to use it on me. It's too bad we got off on the wrong foot. A case of mistaken identity because I'm not who you claim I am. That's why I'm not taking any of it too personally and I've deliberately held back on any quick comebacks.

The Woim didn't come here to fight, but to share the love!

Yours Very Truly,
The Woim

P.S. - Gary, I've secretly given back the money I won in EVERY SINGLE money match I've ever played. Either I gave it back personally or I gave it back through a third party. The Woim loves a challenge match but am not out to get anyone's money. ;) The example I gave actually happened, but it was $500 I returned - his backer's money paid for the food and fun that followed... :o

This question is directed to all you big money players...

If someone pockets $10,000 from a win to 10 up in 9 ball, what do you do with the money? How much money do pro pool players make "on the side"?

And why don't these money players commission Tim Scruggs or Ginacue or Mike Bender or John Madden to build a really great custom cue so they can have some style and return the dignity to this game.

That's a concept I take pretty seriously. Conducting myself in a dignified manner while playing pool. I never play pool unless I'm dressed up and it's been said before but you'll never catch The Woim playing with a production cue nor wearing cheap shoes. All my shoes are laced up oxford and brogue made of the finest leather - not a single one of them are under $300.

Why can't these money players (like John Schmidt - who will definitely defeat Chris) dress in a more classy manner. We all remember Jackie Gleason playing Minnesota Fats.... Didn't he look too snazzy for words? That's class. Those two actors were playing with authentic Herman Rambow cues for that movie.

Why can't a big money winner spend $4,000 - $12,000 purchasing a Gus Szamboti or Balabushka?

Every once in a while I get on a tirade about dignity.

If I ever won a $10,000 match in one night, I'd be off to have some bespoke shoes made for $900 apiece and I'd be on the phone the very next morning with Mr. Scruggs, Mr. Bender, Mr. Sugartree, Mr. KCHighendcues and Mr. Tarascella (sp). But's that me.

If i were a rich man...

...but I am a happy man.
The Woim

Amazingly, I have never seen anyone from the Belleville area or St Louis area wearing a silk tie, designer shoes, and using a szamboti when playing.

um.......wth???? i dont really even understand this but why would a player need a $12K cue and $300 shoes to show some dignity? how about $50 shoes and a joss but he sends his kids to a good college with the money he wins......that's what i call dignity!

Two minute search on google for "The Woim" threw up:-

Website - knoxcigar.com (the pipesmokers website)
User name - THE WOIM
Location - Belleville, Illinois
Public Profile - Retired sailor..... likes Guns,Mary Pickford movies,The Old West, Morality issues........(plenty going on in that lot for the amateur psychologists:D )

Posts - 294, at a quick glance about 90% of which appear to be replies to various other site users who wanted to throttle him or have him banned.

Perhaps if he sold some of the hundreds of very valuable antique pipes he apparently owns he could afford them thar expensive ol' shoes:) ;)

PS........his alleged e mail address is in his public profile there as well should anyone want to communicate with him outside these threads.

You don't mean Fat Bill do you? I only knew him for a year or so while I was out that way but he was definitely an old school gambler type.

not chris

i just talked to chris a while ago at hof where he was getting ready to play and he said he haas not posted anything on here. he said a couple of his friends have his info and thats probably who it is so who ever is looking for action better find a way to call him to make sure any games that are negotiated on here are legit. mr. schmidt ya might want to take this as a heads up. i wouldn't think it is cool to make games and talk like you are chris bartrum when you are not. it may get chris in trouble by accident. fess up to who it is posting under chris's name.

I have a funny feeling I know who is doing this. The same guy who woofed at me using another player's account a while back. It seems to be his M.O. these days. And he has been in the company of Chris recently. It wouldn't surprise me because he is the kind of guy who would do exactly this, and more! He seems to get his jollies posting stuff on here and using someone else's name. He doesn't have the balls to use his own name. He is the kind of guy who likes playing games with people. One day I will out him on here. I hope "you" read this, and think it's real funny.

Sorry Alex, I was talking about Minnesota Fats, the guy could talk more shit than anyone alive. However, even at that he was very entertaining!!

Have a good night!!!!!!

Chris...if you happen to be in the St. Louis area anytime soon (next couple of weeks or so) Justin Bergman will try you some with the 8 if you're interested. There also happens to be a mid-west tour tournament next weekend (9/10) so there could also be some more action to be had along with him as well.
