I was banned, rightfully so, for 6 months. Now I am not certain why I was happy to be back. I have to put to many people on my ignore list just so I don't get banned again. The Main Forum has become a joke. Thankful that the ignore feature exists!

what did you get banned for? I am new to azb and it seems like there are 3 categories here.....1) know it all trolls that probably can't beat the 5 ball ghost...2) people that are so full of negativity that the only thing that can spew from them is NEGATIVITY.....3) nice, knowledgeable people that is a pleasure to read their posts......unfortunately it doesn't seem like there are enough number 3s....:frown:

I made two hurtful dumb ass posts against someone and got banned. The vast majority of my posts are helpful and positive. Having said that I deserved to be banned at that time.

I understand where you're coming from, Wedge. I have cut back my participation here quite a bit over the last several months as well. It simply isn't as enjoyable as it used to be.

Best of luck at The Open! Don't you dare leave until after that so we can get a report on your experience!

The trouble with the ignore button, Wedge, is that it piques my curiosity so much, wondering what I've missed, that I have to turn it back off again.

Myself and many others feel the same way. The really good, funny, knowledgeable, helpful, etc.....writers are almost all gone or lurking.

Last night while playing $200 sets, and the other night as well I found myself thinking about the arguments/people on azb instead of the game. I realized that I had been free of azb's toxic members and for that I was much happier.

I like the forum format but this climate is poisonous. There are good people left here. And I have no doubt that the terrible troll-like posters are decent people in real life. On here though they push the rules to the limit with how they demean and harass. It's so pervasive that it's become normal.

From the outside looking in this forum could be a wealth of great information and a true nexus in the industry between players fans and pros and industry folks.

But, it won't be that way until like the EPA did with the Cuyahoga river the trash is permanently removed and rules are enforced that insure it doesn't continue to be polluted.

Seems if you don't like the current forum, give it a rest and come back a few months later. There will be a new mix of active members. I prefer to get along with most people. I don't want to do it, but I can ignore people fine without a button.

I've never been banned and never put anybody on ignore but that's just me.

If getting banned and putting people is what blows your skirt then go for it.
