If "money won is twice as sweet as money earned"

.... a humble battle lost adding fuel to the raging war on the horizon.
Choose your cue wisely as its the mighty defender of your wallet. ;)

Money lost is a lesson earned....
...and seeds sowed for future action.

Money lost is certainly no guarantee of a lesson learned, that's for sure. ;)

But I also find money earned more valuable than money won.

Money earned is typically money contemplated whereas money won is typically pissed away as being expendable.

I've never liked that saying applied to competition of any sort that I'm playing and wagering on. I EARNED that money I "won". I guess won money in pool terms to me applies more to sweating a match you are not playing in (have no control over the outcome). So, in that case; money lost is a reason to research better next time ;)

"Money lost is twice as bitter as money spent." ...my favorite answer because it kind of encapsulates why I don't like to gamble.

Whatever that "winner's high" is you're supposed to get from winning a set, I don't feel it.
There's really no "sweet" money won, for me.
But I can get extra triple garlic salty if I lose a set, the bitterness of losing far outweighs the joy of victory. Too competitive I guess.
