It's a true statement! I'm doing this without RKC prior knowledge or approval. NOW, why do you feel it necessary to post in this thread? You have not contributed, so I know you're now worried how your money is going to get distributed. So, what exactly is your interest here?

Do you remember my earlier post where I said that your posting style has soured my interest in this fundraiser and instruction fro Robin? Remember you thought it was an ego thing? You're wrong. I was trying to let you know that I am not alone! If you relax a little you might get more contributions! I think that this thread has been pretty negative for your cause. Blame me for that if you want, but you share that blame.

But answer my last question; You have not made a contribution so I know you are not worried about RKC not receiving it.... so please explain why you are even in this thread?

Your continued failure to address the matter presented to you multiple times is suggestive of impropriety.

I celebrated with glen and didnt ask him to visit my table. He has solved problems for me and never sent me an invoice.

Your interest in him appears to be sely for your own benefit and you will be the firs one to post about 'i thought it only took rkc 28 minutes to recover a table and he has been here an hour..."

Your story has been told many times over here. You might not know that, but some of us have seeen the shlw many times.

Since I haven't donated, am I allowed to answer your question? I'm in this thread because I asked you a question about the thread and we've been having a discussion about it ever since.
 
Funny thing on AZB, there's a hand full of ppl on here that seem to try and do anything they can to belittle me, but the real funny thing is....they can't come up with the name of even ONE person who's even come close to accomplishing what i have already done in the last 33 years working on pool tables. But they're sure fast to throw out things like there's 100s of guys that work on pool tables just as well as i do...no names though...LOL i give free advice here on AZ all the time looking for nothing in return, the mouths give nothing but act like they're the greatest contributors on AZ, yet, what have they ever done....nothing whatsoever...LOL all they can do is talk the talk, because they certainty know they can't walk the walk! They're to cheap to supoort this industry, yet would try and lead people to believe they're somehow important and irreplaceable. That's the biggest joke of them all. By the time I'm ready to hang up my tools and quit working on pool tables, i will have made an impact in this industry and will be remembered and talked about long after I'm gone, how long will they be remembered....5 minutes, outside of family and friends! I communicate with other pool table mechanics from around the world quite often and have open invitations to travel to teach what i know....can the trolls on AZB do the same? No, but they can still try and kick me every chance they get...LOL All i can say is kick away, your life is your own, just as my life is mine, and i owe no one anything!
 
To everyone reading this, i spoke to Denwit yeatersay about this fundraiser, and though he started it i know with good intentions on his part, i was not aware of it at the time. Yes, i do have some medical expenses, but for the most part i feel that since i did give 9 years of my life to my country through my military service during and after the vietnam war, the VA hospital will eventually take care of me. I do appreciate all those that have donated money in my name, although i never asked or expected anything from anyone, it does however still surprise me. I will say this however, I'll accept your donations only on the basis that if i ever get the chance to do any work for you, you first allow me to deduct your donation off the bill so i can at least say we're even and that i appreciated your help at the time. I'm sure I'll meet up with some of you when i return to living on the road again, and if i can do something for you just let me know and I'll see what we can work out....except for those on my no fly list, you'll still be a $1 short as i don't suspect any of you would have made a donation in the first place. So, i guess I'm asking you guys to cut denwit some slack, he was only trying to help.

I get what you're saying, and I appreciate your passion for this, but have you ever considered that most of us don't want to be remembered for pool? It's a hobby for most of us. I know the impact I make at my work, and I am proud of that. Good for you for being proud of yours.

Most of us don't want our friends and family to know that we play pool!

Glen is good at designing, creating, building, improving, repairing what he is passionate about.
What's wrong with that?
Would you say the same comment to any successful person in Sports, Music, Acting, Business?
Those are all just interests/hobbies to me, but I appreciate a Pro when I see one.

I was specifically referring to his comment about us not being remembered 5 minutes after we're gone. He's a professional pool table guy, that's really cool! But the guys at my work won't remember him at all. He seems to be comparing his profession with our hobby. It wasn't meant to be disrespectful in the least bit, just showing how he is comparing apples to oranges. That's all.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of your work and family, it just happens to be that pool is not only my job, its the life i live as well. I can't stand staying in one place for very long, not even for family. I love all my kids and grandkids with all my heart, but that don't change my feelings about wanting to live free to go wherever i want, for as long as i want, when i want. I was born into a life of moving all the time as i was born into the military as a baby, and never really called anywhere home my entire life. I truly enjoy meeting new people all the time and working on new to me pool tables that can be somewhat challenging to fix, and i never quit a job early to get to the next one that pays as i don't chase the money i could be making.

My mom showed me something when she died Dec 15th, 2015. She left my brothers and i quit a bit of money that she saved most of her life to aquire which did nothing for the life she could have lived, instead of the life she ended up living. While my brothers banked their money, i spent mine fixing up my truck, buying tools to do better work on the road with, and buying a White Hawk 24RKS travel trailer to live my life in for as long as i can enjoying what i like, just as my mom spent the remaining years of her life doing what she enjoyed doing...making stupid quilts for the fun of it...LOL

My son who was killed Feb 8th, 2104 at 17 years old taught me life can be over in a moments notice so enjoy it while you're still able to, as I'm sure he'd wish to still be alive today.

My ex wife died Oct 29th, 2016 taught me I'm not getting any younger as she was 60 years old when she died, same age as i am today, so as long as I'm still alive, tomorrow will aleays be a day to look forward to, i just hope it arrives, but I'll be okay if it don't as long as i don't give up first and keep trying for as long as i can.

I guess my point was graveyards are filled with people no one remembers anymore, not even families sooner or later. But if for some reason you're still remembered long after you're gone, try and make it a good reason to be remembered and not a bad one as history tends to remember the worst of mankind before it can remember those that have done good in their life.
