With nubbins, what can I say to motivate you more you little old devil you. Or sandpaper?
Pool community expects truths, great stories, or your best recollections thereof, you may have been under the weather somtetimes or not in the best position to relate the full story, but History is being served here, and one appreciated by all members of the forum, not big lies, so tell it like it was as best you saw it then, and some may have different recollections and that is OK, more sides to the story the better IMO. In the end, the real bigger picture of the sport of pool emerges, with all talents, warts, egos, gambling, events, history, chronicling thereof for all to see.
Everybody is a guppy when you are a shark. And there are a hell of a lot of guppies that at one time thought we were sharks.
I'm writing it pretty much like I write on here. I definitely have an opinion about the players I saw and some of the shenanigans that went on. I know who gambled high and who gambled "good", and vice versa. I know who the players feared (NONE more than Keith!) and who the suckers were. A few people may not like what I have to say in this book, but that's their fault, not mine.
I'll tell you how honest I will be. I was known as a "nit", because I didn't bet high. I never played for a thousand a game until 1988 with Harry Platis. So I will tell on myself also. But I was also known as one of the games best handicappers of players, and a good sidebetter. Everyone would ask me who I liked before a big match got underway.
Thanks for all the support. I will have to give credit to the AZ crew in the foreward.
