Ok now that I have your attention, I'll say my bit and move on.

First of all thanks to everyone on AZB for being friends with me for a long time.

Over the past several years I have bought lots of stuff for several reasons, I have bought cues to support up-start cue makers, cues to look for the best hitting cue for me, cases for the aforementioned reasons too.

I have also bought tips, and smaller things as well, cue extenders, cases, gosh I have lots of cases. and other stuff that I dont have room for anymore since I sold the house in Vegas(pls dont congratulate me I lost millions-I appreciate the gesture and nice words but I'm not to happy that I had to sell.) Besides I needed to sell some stuff off just because i'm not using it. And there is some good stuff I dont like to see sitting around not being used when I know people need/want it.

So since Im too lame to know how to post pics, or use pay-pal etc. I decided to put Kelly my girlfriend/wife incharge of this. She opened a account here "Kelly(Fatboy)" is the account name, I'll be the guy in the background pricing the stuff etc She wil be making the post and handling transactions/shipping. She is spot on with this sort of thing.


What you will never see for sale are big cues or cues I have owned for 20+ years or any of my balls, I have a ball collection and chalk collection. I will have a few cues now and then, this isnt going to be a business, I'm not going to buy and resell anything. But for example I have some tiger tips I will never use-that's the sort of thing i'm selling, or a break cue, or a shaft. etc. I do have some extra sets of balls that are old and well worn down-but i'll price them cheap. you get my point. i'm not a re-seller or dealer for anyone or anything. And dont intend on becoming one. I could do it but its not my bag.


I put the account in her name because I get too many PM's it will just be a mess mixed in with my personal stuff and biz stuff. I asked for approval for this from the bosses at AZB and am going to be paying them to do this, not the member thing but more, because I feel its the right thing to do. but again this isnt a business, its just me selling things I tried and didnt work for me, or I bought to support pool in general. I'm also gonna give some stuff away, as I have in the past.

Looking forward to seeing what you have. And this is a nice thing you are doing for the pool community. I'm sure you have some cues and other things that should be out in the world and being used.
And I will bet that how ever you discribe the item that is how it will be when the buyer gets it.
 
Not that she needs the vote of confidence Eric, but for what its worth I cannot imagine anyone more orgainzed and Kelly. I look forward to seeing what you have for sale as you know I am a player cue kind of person, versus those monstor cues you big boys own.

Sorry you did not get what you originally wanted for the house but I am sure you are glad to have that 100+K off your monthly nut.

yeah that 100K was getting out of hand, i only had a few barrels left when I sold. To compair it to pool terms, In a race to 11 I was down 10-5 and came with a 6 pack right at the rite time or I was history, It was a $15,000,000 swing; think I wasnt sweating it? We all have out limits of what we can stand to have in action, well one thing is for sure my tolerablance for betting it up is a whole lot stronger now than ever, I came so close to losing it all that I'm completely numb and fearless with $$$ now. I have awalys have had more balls than brains-so I have been told by many people in business, not so much in pool. After what I just went through this past 60 days-I will never be the same. I'm stronger because of it.


I should have bought gold, if I tool all the $$$ I earned during the run of the biz after taxes and spent what I invested Conservatively in property(not the big house, but the income property) I'd be sitting on 10 times more $$$ than I have now and no headaches, right now I am a partner in 6 commercial properties we paid all cash for before the boom and they are worth 30%-75% of what we paid. We have one that is worth what we paid. Sure they throw off some income but its chump change, I feel sorry for my tenants(most of them) we had to lower some rents they wernt making it. we have one building thats full-every 3rd month in Vegas is property tax month, on Tax month the building loses $$$ brcause of the tax rates!! And we have no loan on it, it cant earn enough $$ to pay for itself during the 4 months a year property taxes are due. Thats Why I left Vegas. Had I bought gold(and I almost did buy some) It would be sitting there worth 3 times what I would have paid for it and not be a pain in the ass.


Believe me being a landlord is way over rated, flipping properties is where the action is at, when the market is good. Holding them when the market is good is second best. Right now I'm just going to stay out of the game. I'm consoludating all my stuff, like selling some pool related things I dont use. And then 'm going to sit and wait it out. Back to pool, I have a Break Rack(which everyone who plays rotation games should own) I'm not selling I love it, I somehow ended up with 3 or 4 of the metal racks they use nowadays, i'm gonna keep one. Some stuff manufacturers give me to test or to give feed back on and I awalys do.


I'd never endorse a product I wouldn't pay for. If I dont like it, I send it back and just wont make a post or comment, I wont knock anything. If I like something and its given to me-I offer to pay and endorse it. The new Keno board thats avaliable is the triple nutz, Rick is selling them, he i doing a soft opening, he isnt tooled up to build lots of them yet. But its the best board I ever used I wont sell it ever. My rack made of wood is a old Spinali rack It took me forever to find one that racks with the precision of the delta racks, I'll never sell it. when it was made the tollarance of the tools just wernt as good as today.


I have a few cues and a zillion cases I'm gonna sell, the biggest cue will be around $5,000, the smallest will be $350. Most likely everything I sell will be at a loss, but thats cool. This isnt a biz, i'm just cleaning up and streamline. I found a house I want but the seller is stone cold nuts, I mean nuts. If we can come to a deal, I'm gonna live there a real long time. Its not a big mansion, just a great location, AAA+++ location, the house itself is a B to B- house 4,000sqft(a 9' box fits), considering the area, its the worst house in the area, there are 4 or 5: 9-figure mansions, yes 9 figure mansions like $135,000,000 within 1 mile of it. The land its on is the triple nuts, Paul Newman lived 4 houses down the street from the back entrance street. Kinda cool. I hope I can swing this deal. if I do I need $7,000-$8,000/month for property taxes(my biggest nut). I might open a pool room to cover that nut and have a hang out. The house I'm looking at is a mid to low 7 figure price. I dont ever want to gt involved in a big house again, no matter how much $$$ I ever make. that one dude Warren buffett has a 3500 Sqft house he lives in the last 40-50 years, I never knew why, he can buy a million sqft house. You have to live it to get it. It sucks living in monster homes. Its way past over rated.


If I open a room It will be done right for players, profits are secondary. see thats the problem with almost EVERY pool room there is, the owner(and I aint knocking them) is trying to make as much $$ as possible-its their gig in life, for me after I get my 7-8k/mo i'm cool, So yeah I cant run at a loss but I'm not gonna get greedy. Its going to be a 100% players room, with a bangers section off to the side somewhere(let them pay for the good side of the room for the players. i'm gonna ban $5 practice pool and encourage big action. and promote the hell out of the players part of the room. No fuzzy math "Added money" that really isnt added if you do the numbers. There will be added $$$, the more the bangers spend the more i'll add. Player will be paid on the spot when they get knocked out of tournemnts etc. It will be done right.

its cool if your busting my balls, I can handle that. but I just dont understand sorry.:) I have a few nice Gus's, but my strongest collection is my Barry's. For what ever reason I just fell into more good Barry deals than any other cues. And Like a bone head I passed on a couple real good Gus's. I have about 15-20 Gus's most are 4pt 4 Veneer players(my favorite) I have Kim Davenports Gus he used for over 20 years. I used it back in 85-86 so that cue means something special to me, and it has the battle scares to prove it, I wonder how much $$$ was won/lost with that cue???


I'm pretty happy with my collection now, I dont think I will be adding More than 2-3 cues this year and selling 6-8 cues this year. I'm up grading the collection. If I get this house I want I'm gonna have a cue room like Will Prout has, except it wont have a table in it, but atleast all the cues will be visable and protected from a burgerly and light.

Thought you wanted out of S.Cal? I understand what your talking about when you say owning a mansion isn't as cracked up as it seems.The constant maintenance just kills you. You should check out S. fl. before you buy in La again. A lot less expensive because there is no state tax. Property taxes are pretty high though. I'm in the Palm Beach area, so the weather is always warm. Great food and of course there is the ocean. Very similar to S.Cal. but better. Glad things are looking up for you.

Rosewood Gus

Must have been a reference to that rosewood Gus. I immediately thought of that cue when I saw you were selling some cues. Not that you would part with it or that I could afford it, but it is one of the nicest cues to see.

Maybe I could rent it for a few games of one pocket. ;)
