In progress pics: Pete Tonkin is building me a cue and the veneers are mind boggling.

Yes Ralf like that and even more. Like wrapping a veneer around a cue in squiggly lines. Tonkin will probably be the one who does it. :-)

hi I missed u at the show I was working petes both I have 4 cues comeing from pete he is a great guy makes a monster playing and looking cue.

Looking good Jim, I bet you can't wait until it's finished.

Thanks for the in progress pics.

This is exactly what I told Pete. We had planned on several ivory inlays, but after seeing the forearm, I thought it would just bog the cue down. I think the butt sleeve is gonna be just as special.

some inlays work on some cues, but the colors of these veneers and its application speaks for itself.

Bump for new updated pic at the top. The boxes that Pete has for the butt sleeve are truly wicked.

Awesome cue Jimmy

Pete, hurry up with the buttsleeve, can't wait to see it!

Tonkin

Those veneers are amazing Jimmy. I love the thin black in between each color, really makes everything stand out. Can't wait to see the final product. Dan

Holy Molly !!!!! That is some serious veneer work there, congrats on your new builds... This Pete Tonkin is doing some great work as I have seen a couple of his cue around my area. Again beautiful cue you got there.

Holly wow wow for sure.

Pete bridging points in the forearm like that is a first for my eyes.

His accuracy for edge finding in super unreal.

Gotta love it when a cue maker raises the bar and is so creative in design and application.

Rick

Thanks for the compliments...............I know Pete really appreciates them.

Pete and I have made the decision to make this a wrapless ebony handle. I think the design in the handle is gonna be wicked!!
