In your opinion who are the best up and coming cue makers...

Darrin Hill is the best up coming cuemaker in the world right now. #1 in a cue built for playability (balance & correct shaft tapper). His fit & finish is so perfect and clean. For sure he has the very best point work in the country no ifs ands or butts. Check out out his latest work for (08).:)

I think he's still got a ways to go.

another one that I don't think of up and coming, but already here. Jensons are great cues, under rated most certainly.
I hear ya. The original question was just worded funny, so I think some of us wanted to look at "future Hall of Famers" that are currently established as well as currently established cuemakers that might be the best out there, but just don't get a lot of cues out there.

Personally, I'd like to venture guesses on next year's Hall of Fame Inductees to the ACA and to the ICA.

I'd like to see who would be in 10 years. In 20 years. Etc.

Great idea and kind of what I was trying to get to ... Who will be inducted next year ??? Who will be 10 years down the road ??? Who will be 20 years down the road???

I just purchased a cue from RD cues (Rodney Davis Sr.) and i really hope that he makes it big. Maybe not hall of fame big but enough to get the respect that the Frey's and Capones get. I haven't received the cue yet but I should in about a week. Anyway, he's an awesome guy to deal with and he's shown that he'd go the extra mile for his customers. I wonder...has anyone hit with one of his cues? If so, what'd ya think? I'm so excited to get it I think I'm a little moist.

I'm suprised no one mentioned Webb Custom Cues by Mike Webb from Rhode Island. He makes some of the most beautiful cues I have ever seen.

Ask anyone who has ever owned or used one. The hit is great and the quality is 1st class.

Check out his site: http://www.webbcues.com/

I think Steve Lomax is an really good up and coming cuemaker. Right now, he has made several cues for top players, including Stevie Moore. He makes excellent quality cues including break cues and jump cues. JMO.

Bump that!!! i have a pair j/b shooting cue he made me.#0002 when i learn to post pictures i will post cues. think of beauty and playes great! :p :p

That Barrenbrugge fellow that post here on AZ must be one of the top tier cuemakers in the world, I have been wanting to hit some balls with one of his cues for many years and there ain't been but one for sale the whole time I've been on this forum. He has some very nice cues shown in his website.--Leonard

I purchased a Steve Klein cue at Valley Forge and I could not be happier with the way it plays and his workmanship is top notch.

I would have to say Tommy Migliore of New York.He make alot of the pins for cuemakers as he is a machinist. The cues he build are gorgeous and play very solid,if you get a chance to hit with one or aquire one I would,he doesnt build many but the ones he does are for players.

Another cuemaker from CT is Greg Kucharski,I love his work and his cues play nicely also.A local cuemaker and friend of mine Dave Albrecht who is on here makes a nice cue,Im sure his productions is around 20 a year, maybe he can chime in and give the numbers. He explained to me why he builds things a certain way and I understood it and to me that holds alot of meaning then just doing something because thats just how you do it. :)

Of course I have to go with Jim Lee who will make you about any kind of cue you want, period. His work is very UNDERRATED on this board by most when he sells a cue. The hit is like a dream to me.

Chris Byrne is one that is putting out some badass cues left and right IMHO. I dont know how his cues hit, but the looks are amazing and he is very versatile with his designs as well. He is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I havent seen but about two batches of CB's cues and fell in love with them that quick. I think his designs really appeal to the younger crowds but the older people buy because its top notch cues IMO.

I still dont think Jeff Olney gets the love he deserves either. Most here know him but alot of there dont. He has the sharpest point work I've ever seen with my untrained eyes. Its amazing how everyone looks dead on and perfect. I'd put his point work up against ANYONES.

I would like to see a super cue built, where one guy who specializes in certain areas to all come in and build one cue. That could be some awesome stuff!!

I'd like to think that next year or the year after, Bill Stroud and/or Richard Black would get in. Regardless of what anyone else has to say about these guys as businessmen, their work and contribution are unquestionable.

By 10 years, I'd like to see Barry Szamboti, Pete Tascarella, Ray Schuler, and Tim Scruggs in.

By 20 years, Jerry McWorter, Samsara, and Thomas Wayne.

Chris Byrne's cues hit as good as they look. Next time you are coming to atlanta let me know and you can try out mine. ;)

If this doesn't happen, there is seriously something wrong with the system.

Travis Nicklich and Cory Barnhart are really putting out some nice looking and playing cues.
