Hey where are my back issues from NOV DEC JAN??? I've called and left numerous messages with my phone numbers. How many f--kin times does some one have to call to get a f--kin answer? Rich UPDATE I just got a phone call from inside pool magazine tonight about 7:30 pm. The girl said that she tryed calling,in oct, nov, with no answer.ITS because the phone number used is BROADVOX LLC- E 724 916 0537. The phone number did not have inside pool in the ID section. Well I thought it was a teller marketer, which I never call if i do not who it is..and they don,t send you a letter to let you know you issues are going to expire. Billiard Digest has always sent and called me for a expireration date to let me know .Plus the woman said I never left my cell along with home numbers,ya sure.My case is closed.Who ever called I LEFT MY HOME AND CELL NUMBERS why would I LIE .Just wanting my inside pool maqazine. Bad business not to look and take care of your customers. A very bad decision, you will lose more than add on.MY CASE IS CLOSED. now what?????????? Lets lower are heads in peace for the 4 bald eagles that were shot to death . Its on the internet. I hope with my whole heart they find the person or persons that did this and and cut thier nuts off, sorry no need for such a crime to a beautiful bird, yes 4 of them.

I think people on this forum should know that they are no good rotten b--tards. Bunch of f--kin rip offs. Rich .Keep the replys coming.Bunch of a--holes.

i personally dont know if they are assholes or not, but i have noticed that there seems to be no reliable way of contacting them. am i missing something?

anyone have a reliable # or email they can share?

I never renewed because of unreliable delivery and took like 6 months for the initial subscription to start. Maybe they are relying on their streaming and video division to keep them afloat?

It's been said before. Terrible Customer service and issues missing, magazine getting thinner and thinner...the only good thing was getting a free tee shirt when you signed up at SBE. I'm sure that line will be a lot shorter.

IP has been like this for at least 6-7 yrs maybe more-maybe a year after they started, it went real bad subscription wise.

My first negative review of any pool publication in almost 42 years......

I've attempted to contact JR Calvert and Sally Timko numerous times over the years because of missing or non-delivered issues. I've phoned, written, and lately, left very nice FB messages. I was never anything but very polite and cordial.

I'll give a sampling of their responses in just a minute.......

I was an initial subscriber from issue 1.
And I've been dumb enough to keep renewing all these years.

I'm not the type to insult anyone, however, I will say that JR Calvert and crew certainly have to know by now how many times so many subscribers have not received issues because of all the inquiries about these missing issues.

Yet, going all the way back to the "We're new at this and still training our staff" excuse to the "We changed printers" excuse to the "We changed warehouses and they lost several shipment loads" excuse to the more trendy response of NO RESPONSE, JR Calvert has shown time and again that he does not intend to do anything other than keep cashing the checks for subscriptions.

What other conclusion can I arrive at when there has been NO RESPONSE from anyone for a couple of years now at least?

I've learned my lesson now. It took missing probaly a third of all the issues I was supposed / allegedly to have gotten thru subscriptions all these years, but I've finally given up even trying with InvisiblePool Magazine.

Since 1970, I've heard over and over and over how pool is filled with unsavory people. I've found that to be true with only a small fraction of those I've had interaction or dealings with.

Who woulda thunk that a pool magazine would be front and center as exhibit A?

Viva la Billiard Digest and Pool & Billiard Magazine. RIP to the still very much missed National Billiard News.

Good riddance to Inside Pool Magazine.

This stuff still going on with them ?? LMAO :grin-square: I refused to pay anmore for magazines that I would never recieve and then when you would call they would give you different # or extensions then blame it on it's a 3rd party delivery service. Then the fact of they said I was being put on a special list that inside pool would take my issues and deliver mail them out themselves every month. Well I did get all my back issues and the up to date one one time. Then after that its was hit or miss every month. I went as far as stopping at the tables or booth at the Billiard Expo and they gave me the # of a lady who I had already and called her regularly every month anyhow. But at any rate I just gave up calling and decided I would never renew my subscription with them ever.. Another unsatisfied Inside Pool Magazine customer... Theres alot of threads on here about the same thing over the years....Good Luck ...<< ED

You got a small victory in that you received the missing back issues. I've never gotten anything other than a "We're all out of that issue, but we'll extend your subscription one issue." That was their prefered line with me. :rotflmao1:

Oh well, I feel better that I won't be dealing with them any more. I'm going to log out and go and symbolically wash my hands......:wave2:

When I gave up on these guys a few years ago, it was not "we're out of this issue", it was "Well, it costs us $6 to mail one out to you, so....."
None for me, thanks.

I can't believe this is still going on. I broke with Inside Pool about 4 years ago and I really liked the magazine. I had the same problem with issues not showing up and constantly having to contact them.

When my subscription was about to run out, the called me asking if I would like to renew. I explained that I loved the magazine and would renew if they would send them to me. Then the next month I wouldn't receive the magazine, yet would get a call asking if I wanted to renew. I explained again that all they had to do was send me the magazine. Next month no magazine. After several months of that, they never contacted me again.

I was considering possible trying again since I thought they might have worked all that out by now, but that doesn't look to be the case. It's a shame because I did think it was a good magazine.
