Insight into Fatboy

Fatboy, I'm guessing that you also have a dozen or so life sized portraits of yourself in your house ( matador, jet pilot, cowboy etc. ) I'm not sure if it was the intention but the first post of this thread came off cocky and narcissistic as hell

not one sorry,

oh yeah its true, they changed a rule a year ago, my accounts didnt inform me and I didnt budget it in, I have the $$$ but it did put a monster dent in the reserve account for my merchant processing I do, its all good, no interest or penalitys, just unexpected. All is ok but biz is getting slower, its a numbers game I think we'll be fine, if not honestly I dont care, i'm ready for a change, hey I came back to pool, for better or worse it seems now. I have pleanty of income propertys and very little debt so I'll be cool, unlike last time when the recession hit it forced me into bankruptcy, i learned not to build a house of cards the hard way long ago. I have been super lucky the past 9 years. More luck than good.

I just want to get healthy again and play pool when I want, I cant now because of my back, its embarassing to lay down everywhere I go, like when we met, or in baggage claim at LAX today everyone thinks i'm nuts or security checks to see If i'm drunk.

I have written my thoughts about this posting, but after reading all the comments here I can not believe all the guys here are pool players..

Normally pool player try to think positive.

So read Fatboys posting again and look for positive things.

Do you think on every ball "shit i will miss it", or do you think "i will pocket all the balls" ?

So why do you search for negative words in this posting ?

i call him dave rodden now and would love to play him some 5,000 sets
Please keep us in the loop as to when & where you and Dave will be playing -- especially if it's at Hardtimes Sacramento.

Also, how are you & Chris Bartrum supposed to play?

A Class Act

I met Fatboy at the DCC this year and actually had a side bet that he would not go out first in the ring game. After the match I asked him a question about a technique I saw him later trying to explain to another on-looker. I found him to be most friendly, easily likeable and overall, imo, he is good for the game. Didn't get to see him back down Bucktooth but would have paid $100.00 to have seen it and $1,000.00 to have had it on video. I.m sure I could have sold a bundle of DVD's. I plan to go to the Reno Bar Box event and hope Fatboy makes an appearance. I will be backing my horse in some side action.

He used to run with John Morton, aka Rude Dog on here. He came to several tournaments I worked on and never caused any problems that I remember (and I would).

Any friend of John's is a friend of mine.

Go get em Fatboy.

i have had 2 big ones and 1 minor ones(back operations), i might have a tye of MD in my back, the muscles are rotting away, its been going on for 30 years, i'm 41. its along story perhaps i'll make a threasd about it someday, i'm not looking for sympathy but having friends in your corner when your in bed all the time is nice, i was just at JOB's for 4 days I was in the hotel room all but 6 hours, now I'm back in LA nad played last night, it wasnt to good-wow the tables were slow. I played a C player just to beat someone(all I have been doing is getting drilled by world beaters) and I gave him a few pointers, he is a good guy and is there shooting drills EVERY time i go there, who ever showed him the drills knew their stuff but he needs Scott Lee for some fundementals, his dedication is great so I just walked up to him and asked to play, I won 9-5 he shit in 3 9 balls(so i should have won 9-2) and 5-1, i was so sleepy i could barely drive home. I gave him alot of advice man it felt nice his eyes were huge and he was greatful for everything I showed him. nice guy. Today I'm going back and getting in a tough game, if I get to 6 going to 9 I'm happy, if I steal a set WOW.

I cant say the line on me and Bartrum, he offered me a strong spot and were gonna start cheap $100/game and then adjust, i think I have way the better of it and he knows I'll adjust if i'm wrong he will too. We both want a tough game, a grind it out play everyday for a week battle, he knows my back is bad and somedays I cant play and others I can play 5 hours, we'll probably play at my house in vegas and he can stay there to keep his costs down its up to him, when I dont know. I'm the kind aof guy that might lose $5,000 and then go out and put him in a game, I dont take betting personal or an ego thing its business win or lose. There is nothing to get mad about when I lose or happy when I win, Sure I like winning and hate to lose but I dont let it get to me either way, keep things level. With this mentality I give my self the best chance of winning.

John was the best, man we had some good times. I will awalys remember him.

Fatman, sounds like you're doing what feels right, bud!!!! Keep it up!

John Morton came through my neck of woods and went undefeated at a McDermott event in the early 90's at a pool room I ran. Never seen another player that could hit a stun shot for shape like him! Nice guy, tool

I think he went for $20 in the auction as an unknown. LOL

Off subject, I coming to Vegas in May for the nationals. What I need is the name of a place that serves good steak and lobster. Any suggestions?

PM me if you want,

Stones
