Mark Wilson said more than once today that the corners are 4 1/2". But I'm not sure whether he really measured them. In this event in 2021 and 2022, they were said to be 4 1/2", then 4 1/4" in 2023 and 2024. So I'll second your request for someone who knows what he or she is doing to go and measure them.

Could be, but that doesn't pin down the size. At the DCCs, they said the pockets were 4 1/2" for the Bigfoot through 2022. Then 4 1/8" in 2023, 4 1/4" in 2024, and unstated in 2025.

I imagine those two balls at the Bigfoot pocket are sitting on the table, not raised a bit. That means the noses of the rails (the points of the pocket in this case) are touching them above the equator of the balls, i.e., at a point that is less than the full diameter of 2.25". It also looks like slightly more of the balls is outside the mouth of the pocket than inside the mouth. But even if they were exactly half in and half out, the picture indicates that the pocket mouth is less than 4 1/2". My guess is 4 1/4" or slightly more, like 4 5/16".
You don't have a ruler or tape measure with you, eh? Just measure from point to point.
Well, when they move a 9-footer into the arena, I'd be interested in seeing another picture of that one (with balls or ruler). So win some 1-pocket matches and hang around until Tuesday!

It will get better in the second round after all the 500 and 600 players are gone. A 750 player is definitely capable of competing with anyone. There are a lot of very good players who play in that 740-760 range. They can handle an open rack as good as anyone. It's on the game's finer points (kicking, jumping, safeties) they are most likely to err. Six of the eight matches have players with 800+ Fargos and in the other two are high 700's. That will be when the real Bigfoot begins, round two.
