PLayers be sure to check your mail today. May's check arrived in a regular envelope today (not Federal Express) for Danny.

Yes, mine got sent to Glenn Atwell  , but Mike got his, so did John Kutcher who alerted me in Vegas.

Now can we get rid of the frozen thread "IPT on Chicago news" that is on the top of this web site? It just is not relevent to what is happening.

Is it another 11%? More? Less? I only ask out of curiosity. It's really none of my business, so if anyone cares not to reply, that's ok. It won't hurt my feelings.

I didn't know he had sold that many videos and memberships since the last checks to make another payment................... (it for sure didn't come out of his own pockets).

May's check? Shouldn't it be the April check?

We should have had an April check, but then the April 15th announcement came that said we would be paid every month or EVERY OTHER month, as cash flow allowed.

The May check was another 11%, bringing the total up to 55%.

Sorry, yuze right. Good luck to you with this situation whatever happens. I'm too numb from disappointment to be rational about it anymore. I'm on the player's side whatever they decide to do.

I hope that this helped defray some of the cost of going to Vegas to the delight of the Azers. I guess that Efren now has $275,000 of his 1/2 Mil from Reno.

I am pleased that your past optimism has been partially rewarded and hold hope that this continues.

Good Rolls.

Checks

I am glad for the players. Sure that Gabe can use that $3,300, and
Matlock is share too.

This should shut up the haters for awhile!

I am sincerely happy you got your money!

Haters? LoL, Ok. at this rate everybody will be paid in full one year from now, possibly further out than that for a tournament that occurred in 2006. Let's not forget that many of the players have backers breathing down their neck waiting for their cut. Yep, you're right, there is still hope for the IPT. ;)

Its funny that you think the other threads are irrelevant. This is the same pattern of thinking that KT wanted to shield the players from when I first pointed out the weak spots in his business model. If it goes against what he's preaching, it is wrong. If the truth should hit the ears of his victims, we must hide, discredit, or attempt to destroy the truth tellers. FWIW, it didn't work. I was standing in his face before the first tournament started, I will stand in his face today. He never intended to do what he promised. Smart people realize that now. Idiots don't.

Number one-I am not an idiot.

The only preaching Mr. Trudeau is doing is that he will pay the players which he is doing.

Lets talk about your preaching. What you are saying is contrary to what is happening-the facts. A disaster occured to Mr. Trudeau and he did not walk away but continue to work down the debt. Don't you think this is unusual and commendatory?

Look around your church Blackjack. You can preach all you want but the pews are empty!

Yep! The check was a nice surprise..

Ipt

im an ipt member and have played in lots of big tournaments around the world, the 2 ipt tournaments were the best i have ever seen or played in including world 9 ball and world snooker championship. KT has payed out so far approx 4.5 million in prizemoney way more than any other tour ever has in so few tournaments. i give the guy credit for trying to make a tour like he did, he tried spectacularly and failed but he did try with money out of his own pocket and we had fun while it lasted. as for the players that are suffering because of the non payment thats life they survived before the ipt and will recover pool players are the same as normal people they adapt. And as for people saying the payments are not coming out of KT pocket well where are they coming from then, its irrelevant if he makes money in a way you object too. once its in his pocket its his money and he has taken a huge hit financially the money from the sponsors he had was only in the hundreds of thousands. There never was any type of swindle going on here he was trying to help us the pool players which is good I could not of cared less if the only reason he was doing it was for his own financial reasons we would of benefited too. Its not as if the game is very good now how many players have hung up there cues since the ipt finished, it was obvious that the tour was not going to survive in the original format any idiot could see that i spoke to KT a few times and my opinion is he just over estimated pools appeal. we all make mistakes, and as a pool player i would not care if he off loaded the tour to someone else we all just wanted to play in the conditions like what KT provided. the whole tour was a gamble from the start and no one lost more than KT. i looked at the tour as an opportunity to support him and the game which could have moved to a level which it has never been at before, most of the players feel the same as me he tried to pull off something amazing we all lost a bit not just financially either but i would do it all again if i had the opportunity and so would 99% of the other players. no one is perfect i judge KT by what he did with the ipt not his other ventures they don’t effect me (im selfish I know) it was a bit cheeky with the 100 grand promised earnings and stating he would continue to throw his own bank account at the ipt for a minimum of 3 years. I dont think too many players really believed this, but in business you have to stretch the truth sometime to get things happening. he never intended to not pay the players he never intended to lose approx 5mil anyone thinks he did not lose close to this is clueless he was scrambling behind the scenes trying to keep his business afloat and i understand he could not come out and say i dont have enough to pay you but please stand by me while i try my best to keet the ipt up and running. lots of business go bankrupt the ipt is no different and at least he is making money elsewhere (the ipt website is earning pennys) and paying off his debt and if the payments do keep going then i think he should be given credit when so many other small business file and dont pay any of their debts they don’t have too. I think he could of walked away a few payments ago with no real legal worries so when i think about the 13 grand im still owed i think about how much KT lost and what could of been and with that i dont hold any grudges against him or the ipt. And I think to myself at least he tried.

MANY of the IPT members that I have spoken to -- including the one I live with -- feel exactly the same was as you do.

Thank you for your post! :)

I am a firm believer that if the legislation for online gambling (and i know its not the gaming of it,its the way people pay for it)DID'NT come in when it did there still might be an I.P.T. As much as a scumbag K.T. is at least he tried to build something that the pool world has never seen.ITS JUST TOO BAD.:(

IPT 2006 Tour Card Holders receiving cheques and gushing in support of KT should perhaps not forget that part of every dollar being handed over to them by IPT was stolen by IPT from other not so fortunate pool players ie the entry fees of all the players who paid $2k per head to enter pre-qualifying competitions to try and win a starting place in a scheduled final qualifier to try and win a card for a 2007 tour which IPT already knew at the time they took in those fees, was not going to take place.

Those fees were collected by IPT after the Reno event for which IPT card holders are now being paid prize money in instalments. This is not just Peter being robbed to pay Paul. This is Paul then rubbing Peter's face in it by publicly thanking and praising the thief for giving him Peter's money.

IPT have promised to refund all those 2k entry fees in full. Don't expect too much sugary gushing from any IPT creditors other than current Tour Card Holders until that happens.

There are of course hundreds of other creditors owed money by IPT from long before Reno who haven't received a dime nor even a promise to pay sometime in the future.

Memi

I do not think it is sugary gushing.
I think the players were owed most of the money and still are the majority of the money owed. First things first.
How many people paid 2000. after Reno? I bet it was not many.

You guys jump into any thread that develops viewers and proceed with the negative. It drives people away as they have heard it before. Why don't you write on threads that are hurting for readers such as IPT on Chicago News and leave the popular threads alone?

I think that if some guy you don't know started mailing you checks you would be a happy camper also. I take it that is not happening to you!
