IPT optimists?

if it takes off, great!

if not, oh well... the way I look at it is there is gonna be some good matches to watch.

I have known about the "New IPT" for quite some time. Mike Sigel has told me a lot of very good inside information about it and it seems as if it is a very good plan.

Edit

Its a tough call for me. Mike Sigel and I have talked a lot about this new venture (and from what I heard from Mike) this is the same type of format that I suggested last year - one on one match ups with a pit style of environment. Pull out all the stops and present pool in it's truest, barest form. I think this is a smart move.

I heard a little about this new format from an exceptionally well respected player that seemed a little weird though. What he said they were talking about was setting up these one on one matches, a concept I completely agree with as well, but only pretending that the matches were for say $300,000, and in reality, only paying out a fraction of that.

Obviously, the money would still be better than what anyone is getting now, but if this part of the plan is true, aye chihuahua, the whole thing will get ripped apart for being fake all over again no matter what the amounts are.

I know everything is just talk right now, (edit - Well I guess I should check all the threads before posting! lol) but I really hope this is not part of the plan. Blackjack, please say it ain't so!

I think he meant Hugh Grant....but I could be wrong.

Thats what I thought too. Either that or Drew Carey.

Man you have it rough. First you are from New Jersey and second someone stuck you with swampland in Florida. Good luck in your future ventures.

OMG wayne,

Then you need to read more. Kevin Trudeau was convicted of credit card fraud for charging people's credit cards multiple times for the same transaction. That's a felony, yo. He acted all like, "Whoops, sorry about that! The credit card machine musta been on the fritz!" but fortunately, the authorities did not buy it.

He promised every IPT member would make 100K minimum the first year, even if he had to pay it out of his own pocket. This brought a lot of road players off the road, ruining their action. Then what happened? Kevin STILL has not finished paying off the monies owed from the last tournament. Frankly, I am thinking he is being watched by the Feds right now for the slightest slip up, is the ONLY reason he is even bothering to pay off the players.

He is a convicted felon who uses his books to prey upon the elderly. The guy says there are "Natural Cures" for cancer and arthritis, and "Buy my book now, and learn what "They" don't want you to know about my Natural Cures.

He is a scumbag of the first degree, and if you've not read anything that points to bad things happening when he gets involved with pool, then you've not bothered to look for any info.

Russ

Trudeau did stiff American Express for a hundred and some million when he was in his early twenties and he did his time and hopefully they made him reimburse American Express. He has never denied any of this.
He has made some very serious mistakes in his life that are well documented but that is true of almost every individual. If every professional pool player in the U.S. who made very serious (or criminal) mistakes was banned from playing professional pool there would not be a professional pool player in the U.S.
Anyone with a pea for a brain knows that natural cures can be much more beneficial for individuals than some of the alternatives (although not always).
Cancer is routinely cured down in Mexico but the same doctors would be arrested in the U.S.
Some of this is my opinion a lot of it is fact.

What he said and with respect, what is your source of information re: the $2.3 million. Last I heard it was about 50% of the total but I have been so disgusted about the whole thing that I admit to not having paid much attention.

Just curious.

But $3 million is not the total. He PROMISED $100k minimum to all those who spent LOTS of money to qualify that was in many cases begged and borrowed (and stolen in a few cases....KIDDING)

So, forget about multiplying the number of qualifiers times $100k...what about the serious expenses so many spent to qualify???

I respect your right to your opinion.

Regards,
Jim

He is repaying the qualifiers money also.

Sorry, Wayne, but you've lost me here on the "pea brain" comment.

Kevin is not the type of person that learns from his mistakes. He doesn't believe he makes any mistakes. He justifies his actions and blames others for creating laws against liars like himself. He would rather take advantaage of your mistakes - profiting from them as he feeds you with a pipe dream that he will smash to pieces whenever he feels like it.

Kevin's book is filled with lies. He has been confronted with these lies and he has no explanation as to why he put them into his book, but there they are. For crying out loud, his book is endorsed on the back cover by a doctor that died 3 years before the book was ever written.

:p

It is well documented that Kevin Trudeau is not the walking apostle of truth. He will tell you anything he has to in order to get you to order his products. All he wants is your Credit Card number so he can bill the crap out of it while you receive nothing. Where I come from, some pea brains call that stealing. Some pea brains call that swindling. Some pea brains call that illegal.

If the cures in his book will cure cancer, and if they cure it all the time down in Mexico, then what about Tammy Faye? She endorsed Kevin's book and followed it to a tee and she's dead. So are lots of other people that fit into your "not always" file. Kevin will tell you that cancer, a disease is responsible for those deaths, not his book. Don't believe me? Ask him yourself. People with certain diseases and cancers should seek medical help. I believe that if KT convinces people otherwise, he should be held somewhat responsible when they follow his "cures" straight into the grave.

I'll make this very clear, I'm not saying the Kevin should be banned from pool. I am saying that he should be banned from preying upon people that need help. He is a cold blooded predatorial con man that shows absolutely no remorse for his actions. Then again, any pea brain could figure that one out, right?

Natural cures and remedies can be a good thing. Being part Native American, I learned a great deal from my birth mother about it. I don't understand a lot of what she shared with me, being that I never grew up with her, but my blood brother, who I am very close to, is very much in tune with alternative medicine.

He takes a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, mixed it in his V8 juice, and drinks it every morning. YUCK!

I met a pool person in Vegas at the IPT event who was good friends with Keith and others. A while back, he had brain tumors and was not given a lot of hope for survival by the doctors.

He told us that he went to a Native American reservation that he had heard about. They had some natural remedies for a variety of ills. I didn't get the whole story, but the end result, some gooky black stuff was placed all over his head, and the tumors shrank. Today, he is tumor free.

Easy Wayne with the "Cancer cures" down in Mexico. That is a well known scam using apricot pits and other junk.

You are right about KT making "some mistakes" as you call it. The difference is, HE NEVER STOPPED!

That one's in his book Jam. It's called the "Gooky Black" cure for tumors, p. 248. :)

Trust me, if he knew about it, he would put it in there. He just didn't do all the research he should have. Some American Indian should write a book about their remedies. That might actually be worthwhile. By the way, I was raised by a Cherokee woman, who worked for my family from the time I was a baby.

Yeah. That's right. Mike Segal is really hallucinating that he is driving around town in a Ferrari. And Thorsten Hohmann really didn't pocket $350,000, And Efren was paid in funny money when he won the King of the Hill. And all the millions in prize money that WAS paid out in all those tournaments doesn't amount to a hill of beans in your book.

Yep. You got it all figured out. That KT is nothing but a big phony. Yeseree, Russ.

I guess we won't be seeing you in any of those future IPT tournaments or in the audience.

I'm staying focused on what KT has really done for Pool. He has done more than ANYONE for pool in such a short time. He gave all those pro players and some up and comers the opportunity of a lifertime: not once but several times. And he hasn't given up. He should be inducted into the Hall of Fame just for what he's done so far!

Hillarious. Those poor hustlers came in from the cold harsh road and bought brand new cars because KT promised. You mean many of those guys who hardly bet a dime or risk much more unless they get a game they can't lose. Those honest moral ethical church-going god-fearing road players might have gotten "took" by that stupid KT snake. Oh, my. Hand me a hanky to dry my tears. How I feel for those innocent unsuspecting naive road players.

NUTS!

JM :D

In a "short time" is right....Pool doesnt need any "short time" fixins'. Pool needs a major turn around from someone that is not a felon. Look at ALL of the after effects of his "short time" remedy. Alot of players have had to put their lives on hold to get 11% quarterly so they could pay bills, feed their families, etc. Trudeau thought he could start a tour, throw some flash money to the players and someone would come along and offer him billions for the tour. When that didnt happen, he pulled the plug, wrote it off and caused alot of hardship and misery to unsuspecting VICTIMS. He is a crook, theif, sheister or anything else that you want to call him and trusting him again would be even worse.

I'm quarter Cherokee! My birth mother is half, and her daddy was full-blooded Cherokee from North Carolina. :p

That is amazing about that gooky black cure for tumors. Keith told me the name of the pool guy in Vegas that had his brain tumors cured from the Native Americans is James Bach. I don't know if you know him or not.

here ya go :

We are fortunate to have a weekly column by Ms Keane, all focusing on the local remedies.

I've read the introduction and preface in a couple of KTs books (bored at airports) and the attitude that is conveyed is not one I appreciate, pandering to the conspiracy freaks, imo. Considering there are so many herbalists and other alternative medicine types out there it's no wonder that KT has to plaster the airwaves with infomercials to sell his version.
