So Nevel wants to play 8 ball, 10 ball, and one pocket. Is that not dictating a specific game? Most of these guys, including Nevel, are being backed. If a backer says that I'll back you, but you have to play in California, then John's at that backers mercy. Nevel himself admitted that he does not have his own money to play anyone, does that make him a "nit"? Many posts ago, Nevel offered to play people for $5 a game, does that make him a "nit"?
For John to lose to Harriman in the first action challenge, then return to Danny's home court and try him again, shows heart in my opinion. I'm no fan of Harriman, but he put 3 100 ball runs on John in the straight pool part, which I'd have to say is pretty darn good pool. Certainly not 2nd rate. John comes back and wins a hill/hill one pocket set. The difference being either down 20k or even? That doesn't sound like a "nit" to me.
I've been around Nevel on several occasions, and even if I had the "nuts" in a gambling match, I would not play him because of his attitude. Does that make me a "nit"? Life's too short to waste time with that.
That's just my ******opinion.
