I'm am happy with glee that Jay got paid, but I ain't a gloatin'.Purdman said:What we have here is a " Gleefull Gloater ".:

Jay receiving the check is certainly good news. As stated previously, I do empathize with his position.
Purdman said:I am glad it worked out myself. I will tell ya this JAM, if the whole thing falls apart I will not gloat about it. I am a KT skeptic but do not wish any harm on anyone. I will ask you this, if Keith was in the same situation for 6 weeks, how would you feel.![]()
Keith got paid immediately at the conclusion of the KOTH in Orlando; thus, my experience with the IPT.
The subject has been beaten to death about the prognosis of the IPT's success. Every single pool player I know who is a part of the IPT tour is grateful, appreciative, and is very much looking forward to the commencement of the actual tour, and as such, they have a renewed sense of enthusiasm about a future in the sport.
Most and not all of the skeptics, quite frankly, are on the outside looking in. For some and not all, finding fault with the IPT comes easy, and for others, the prospect of a legitimate tour which pays out DECENT -- I repeat, DECENT -- payouts is very attractive. Yes, my opinion is slanted towards the players and their HOPE for a successful IPT.
Many a person within pool's culture has tried to elevate the sport in times gone by. Pool in the United States is at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to FANS. The AzBilliards' "regulars" have read posts relating to organizations which have come and gone, many of which FAILED due to politics and greed from within.
Along comes the IPT with an infusion of capital, a level playing field, and a future for aspiring pro players and prospective pro players from around the world, and before it gets off the ground, the first "official" tournament not having taken place yet, there are some who seem to be rooting for its demise.
Say what you want about Kevin Trudeau and the IPT. To date, there has been a battle of the sexes in Vegas which provided some much-needed publicity, and then came along the million-dollar-purse KOTH in Orlando, the BIGGEST ever in the history of the sport, when 42 players were guaranteed $6,200 to $30,000 just for showing up.
I cannot forget how the players were treated in Orlando, a first-class affair like none I have ever seen in my life, a green room with a catered buffet, masseuses on site, showers, exercise equipment, and Lazyboy lounge chairs to take a nap. The pool players were treated like kings and queens, and when they were presented their checks, some of them couldn't fight back the tears that welled up in their eyes.
You've gotta crawl before you walk, and as is the norm with any new organization, there will be bumps along the road. Fortunately, the IPT has the capability to remove the bumps and effect a legitimate tour, and I believe that the best of the BEST as it pertains to pool is yet to come.
Wouldn't it be nice to just see how the very first IPT tournament turns out? JMHO, FWIW.
