Is it a Scruggs?

Hi Guys,

how can i verify wether this cue is a Scruggs or not?
After nearly verified that it is a Scruggs... anyone interested in buying it or will trade something?

I'd try to check with Bob Frey. But it looks like a TS to me

I had one with the same colors and veneers and ringwork. But without the barbells and mine had the TS logo. It may be a refinish and the logo was lost

Have been told that the butt has been replaced...

Hard to tell for sure, but:

Has the right point spacing for Scruggs.
Has the right joint rings.
As you say, buttplate could have been replaced, and if so, I suspect the bumper too.

I bought a nice 4 pointer from him in the late 70's, had no logo on it.

Looks like a Scruggs with the butt cap replaced. Bob Frey is the one I'd trust for authentication.

It's been maybe 25 years but he did a 'sneaky pete' for me with no logo

but I think that was the point at the time

I'd say there's a good chance that yours is a Scruggs. Nice looking cue for sure

Is that not common? I had a few Scruggs with same little pin with brass insert.

Thanks. The color looked like Osage orange but the wood looked like birdseye maple.

I've only had one Osage orange cue and I'm not selling it.
