Looks like it

I'd try to check with Bob Frey. But it looks like a TS to me

I had one with the same colors and veneers and ringwork. But without the barbells and mine had the TS logo. It may be a refinish and the logo was lost

Good luck with your hunt

Dave

Hard to tell for sure, but:

Has the right point spacing for Scruggs.
Has the right joint rings.
As you say, buttplate could have been replaced, and if so, I suspect the bumper too.

All the best,
WW

did tim do no logo cues?

It's been maybe 25 years but he did a 'sneaky pete' for me with no logo

but I think that was the point at the time :) :)

Can't recall if I asked for no logo?

But definitely no logo with the same joint pictured. Excuse me same pin, not joint

I'd say there's a good chance that yours is a Scruggs. Nice looking cue for sure

Like someone else said check with Bob Frey for authenticity. He's the guy

Is that not common? I had a few Scruggs with same little pin with brass insert.

Like to have em all still, wish I had sold instead of smashed em!!

could be wrong, but this looks like it was re-plugged......just sayin.:D

edit: ....BB, please don't tell us you smashed a TS.
