Can you define what a NIT is. I Googled it, I looked in the Dictionary, but only found this.

when I googled it it came up "CocoboloCowboy" :rotflmao1: j/k

A /nit/ spelled anyway you like is a little spit who is too scared to put his money where his mouth is. He wants the nutz from everyone cause he has none. He acts like he knows everything, tries to get attention and acts like he can play, but when it comes time to post, he goes to the bathroom and tucks his little nuts up inside his a$$ cheeks and his bank roll in his sock. :rotflmao1: A nit has balls the size of a gnat of which is past tense of gnit. So, at the end of the day, a gnit, nit, NIT or N.I.T. is all talk, and has nothing to show for it.

nit .....it rhymes with bit, spit, fit, crit, zit and little $hit.

You should have looked in the mirror.

In all seriousness, there was a thread a few years back that generated some interesting responses. There are many variations of "nit" but I recall this particular quote summing it up quite well.

FWIW, on page 61 in Steve Mizerak's Complete Book of Pool, it describes a nit as being a "nickel-and-dime" gambler.

I think 'nit' is the pool players way to spell 'knit'.

It's someone that comes to the pool hall, and would rather knit a sweater than bet that water is wet. Gambling pool players are just soooo concerned with their image that dropping the 'k' is mandatory.

As an aside, Efren is now officially a poker nit. :-)

Got a text from my buddy last night, he turned a straight at got it all in with Efren, Efren rivered a boat. Efren promptly cashed out.

hehe.
