Well i played in a tournament last night that is handicapped 9 ball.I go with a buddy who is not as good of a player,i usually spot him the 6,were in the same bracket.I watch his match go hill/hill and i have the winner of it,he wins and i have to play my buddy.I have to give him the 7,so i end up 4-2 in a race to 6 and he scratches on the break, the balls are clustered by the spot making it a tough runout but an easy place to safe,I end up getting him on 3.I then win the next game and the set is over,my friend isnt too happy and no handshake or nothing. When the tournament is over and were leaving he tells me that it was messed up and its a chicken $hit way to win and that no one in there does that and you dont get your friends on 3.I tell him thats the way i play and alot of other people do too,he just hasnt played there enough or in tournaments to know it.Now it seems that me getting the guy on 3 has ruined our friendship,i dont see myself being wrong here,i just think the guy doesnt know the game and that what i did is a part of it.So i would like your opinions on this and also if anyone has had experiences like this where people have hard feelings over a game.
