Is my website scrambled?

I think I have an issue with my website. Please log onto it and let me know if the text is scrambled around.

www.bamacues.com

When I logged on today to add a couple of cues, it appeared scrambled, and I could not make it change. I don't know if it is my computer or the web-host (register.com). I did upgrade to IE8....don't know if that is an issue or not.

I would appreciate the feedback, either way.

Thanks,
Joe

Bama do you mean the cue descriptions? Some are on the side of the pics while others read down the side and finish up under the pics.

You got problems Joe. When I logged on all I saw was some guy holding fish and trophies, not one cue. Definitely scrambled, LOL!

Bama, I just viewed the source code for the cue pages and it looks like the web developer put in some notes regarding the style sheets. Maybe something about that needs to be changed???

Yep it's a IE8 thing I just looked at the site with Firefox and it's fine on Firefox.

Yes, Text is scrambled.

On the available cues page, the description of the cues is messed up. The text starts on the right side of the picture and goes down one or two words at a time to the bottom of the pic where it jumps to the width of the picture. If you use dreamweaver, it may be a layers issue. You might check it with firefox to see if it's an IE thing.

Good luck.

That is what it is doing on my computer, too. I will give Firefox a try. I have had this website and host for a long time. Maybe they just upgraded something and it affected my old design. If all else fails, I can just give them a call tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

A little off topic, but do you know of any other AZ member that has more ITrader points than you?

I've never seen that much before. And their all positive too. You are the rep master. :)

Yes, it's messed up on the cues page. What I think is happening is your text and photo elements are overlapping so the text is wrapping around the photo on some browsers.

You can check the text box and photo elements - it's best if they are positioned as you want them to be seen and not overlap at all, then on the photo properties, click "lock position and size" - then we can try looking at it again.

I visited it using Firefox and Safari, it looks fine to me. Screen capture listed below. Not sure if its an IE8 issue, as TX Poolnut visited using IE8 and he indicated it looks fine.

Clear the cache in IE8, and re-visit the website. If you're editing websites, its a good practice to view it in Firefox, Safari, and/or Chrome.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

I believe that I have the site straightened out, now. I had to change all the fonts around the photographs to Ariel, and it appears to have cleaned the site up.

Thanks again,
Joe
