the schon cues at wal-mart are what is known as "drop shipped", in essence, walmart makes the sale, and orders the product from the seller to be delivered to the buyer and turns over ALL the money to the vendor. At the end of the month, the vendor kicks back a percentage of total sales to the facilitator (wal-mart in this case), for arranging the sales, essentially a commission type of arrangement. Amazon and overstock.com and many other sites function in the same manner, in fact, with a three week course at the community college, about forty hours of tech "labor", and a couple of weeks making phone calls, you too can set up a site like that selling anything from aardvarks to zebras.
The coolest thing about this model is that it takes very little work to maintain, (with the proper search algorithms set up, and some prime search engine optimization), and you dont have to do any of the shipping or storing of products.
on that note, if you are in the market for a schon cue, DO NOT buy it at walmart. you will not get a better price that going through a smaller pool specific vendor, and will be helping to eliminate such smaller vendors in the process. However, sears is in a different boat, and can use all the help you can give them in order to try and save an american institution....
