Is the 2023 Derby City Classic 9 Ball going to be viewed as a tainted win?

Tainted win?

Tainted? LOL!

Current top five based on Fargo:

Filler 838
Gorst 832
Van Boening 832
Sanchez-Ruiz 831
Shaw 825

Four of them will be at the Derby. Yes, the field won't have the depth of the 2022 field due to the absence of quite a few top guns, but this is one tough field and winning won't come easy.

This is still likely to end up being the fourth toughest field of 2023 in America, behind only the World 10-ball, the US Open 9ball and the International Open.

i thought FSR wasn't playing?

Sounds like that "7 out of the worlds top 10 players" aren't going to be there line was a bunch of BS, making this thread even more pointless than it already was.

Well, it may set the record for the most lopsided poll result in all of AZB history. "Yes" couldn't even get a troll vote as of this post.

I guess the top Taiwanese players are not attending the Derby this year.

are the pinoys? not counting gomez, orcullo, DD, bustie. they have been saying in the sharks stream that raga is finally venturing out now. not sure if they mean derby or WC or both

Raga has won his first three banks rounds. A shame we can't see the actual tournament rounds.
Its ridiculous they refuse to stream a second table that could show so many of the Banks matches, especially at the price charged for their continued problematic streams.

Yeah, there is at least 20-25 world top 10 players there.

:D

It is interesting that Konrad Juszczyszyn from Poland is there at the Derby when many of the other European pros decided to not attend the American week-long extravaganza because of Matchroom's World Pool Championship in Kielce, Poland, beginning February 1st. Konrad, who's from Poland, didn't find it a hinderance to travel to USA.

By the way, each time I go to type Konrad's name, I have to stop and google the spelling. It's a tough name to remember how to spell. :p:giggle::LOL:

i think you nailed it. in poland, for every generation you add either a "z" or a "c" to the family name. the dude with the longest and hardest to pronounce name gets to be the president
