Is there any thread here that doesn't get debated heatedly ?

How about that using Kamui chalk is like sreading Unicorn semen all over a rainbow.Ya,those were the good ol days of great debates.

I've always had the belief that unicorns were unisexed and had no reproductive organs, therefore no available semen to spread .

Wow, you can learn the darndest things on a pool website !!!

Its the fact that everyone is entitled to their own opinions so they are going to stay true to what they say no matter what it takes.

i agree that everyone is entitled an opinion. They should be allowed to agree or disagree. I think many here want to sound like he/she can really play and in his/her opinion really think they can play. pool can be a very frustrating game and one that will beat you down if you let it. In the past 40 years I've seen players go through lost marriages, small fortunes, and careers where the game is involved. off the top of my head, I can think of 2 suicides.
There are others who overstate their importance to here and to pool in general. They act as though some owe it to listen and agree with them. What gets to me are the ones who act like some hell of a player and can't honestly beat Mr Mcgoo.
i came aboard here because i loved the old stories about the older players and the big wins and even losses. I loved the incredible characters and the ordeal they went through.
There are even some who spent/wasted a lifetime running up and down the road wanting to make something of life while involved in the game. To some degree I am one of them and in the end we are often left with only the memories Great, good, fair, or even horrible play. it is funny how one can hang onto all degrees for so many years and decades. often big scores were not won because it came down to one little shot. It goes the other way too.
Either way, I have become more tolerant of others in my later years and have gotten to the point I can laugh at the opinions of some. I have learned to chalk up so much with the "that's life" opinion. people are entitled and some see it as a loss of control when they are disagreed with. Oh well that is life and their problem!
However there are many who should just state the opinion knowing that may are going to disagree with them simply because some just like to disagree. Again "that's life" and after all there are only a couple here who are considered experts any way. many have little right to think they are owed attention and just crave respect. it's like instructing, it is all just opinion and often not asked for!

What's wrong with arguing?
Something good may come of it.
