Do some balls seem easier to make? Harder?
Lately I've noticed that I feel more comfortable shooting the 5. Something about that orange color it just seems like it wants to go in. The 3 is pretty friendly as well.
The opposite would be the 6 ball.
It doesn't seem to matter with the stripes.

The six ball! It can hide on the table in plain sight. Don't ask me how, but it's done it to almost all of us a time or two. Especially on green cloth. Also when playing One Pocket, if you must spot an open ball for your opponent, put the six up there with the number facing up. It's the hardest ball to see the edge of.

When practicing 14.1 and setting up a break ball to start a run I will almost never use the 8, 9, or 1 for a break ball. Don't like em. If you ever see me using one of those balls it's because I'm shooting lights out and it's almost like, "Yeah, bee-at-chs -- you're next."

Only time I'm sensitive to ball colors is when breaking in 1Pkt. I don't like same color balls touching no matter what they may be. Other than that, I miss em all the same. :)

Ditto! Thin cuts really suck when shooting the 6. It doesn't help that I'm near sighted so all the balls are a little fuzzy anyways. The 14 isn't too bad for me though.

It doesn't bother me AS much on the snooker table, but it's probably because I rarely attempt long thin cuts on the green.

I think a lot of beginners actually like the striped balls best because it's earier to pick out an aiming point.

I relish shooting the 8 or the 9, because that means I'm shooting to win the game. The shots that scare me are those that look so simple that I look beyond them.

LIKE:

Stripes with the possible exception of the 14

DIS-LIKE:

The 6 and the 8 (a lil harder to see the edge, esp the 6)

I agree with the guy who should know...the 8 as well...with the dark colored balls, it's just hard to stay on the spot after finding it.

yep. the 6 ball. where I usually play the 6 and the cloth are almost the same color which occasionally causes an issue for me.

Its a little tougher to see the spot I need to hit on the 8 ball, other than that I really like the "money ball". Its the most fun to make.

wow a lot of people say the 6. I always wondered why they didnt make the 2 and the 6 lighter colors in the TV ball sets, I mean they do it for the 4 and 7, but the 2,6 and 8 often look similar in the streams. Light green!lol

The BLACK ONE...too hard to see the edge of it and the green one IF played on green felt! The bright balls Orange and Yellow (high visability) are the easiest to see! I.M.O.
