Is there such a thing as a Brunswick Gold Crown fake?

Try this page and choose "customize" (love the internet) - Seybert's shows the 9' as a $600 option.

OK, that's just weird. I went to the Brunswick site and got this:

No option to change the table size, just cloth color and type.

Whereas if you go to the "Glenwood" model there is a menu item to choose size:

Looks like AMF Grand Prix table. It had K66 profile rubber iirc.
ACME was one common knock-off GC that I know of.

FWIW, many believe the GC when it had the Monarch cushions were the best banking pool table of all.

Them's fightin' words mister:)

The old Nationals with Manhatten Asbestos rubber.

Banked right and rebounded right - which Brunswicks never have, well,
maybe in the days of the Arcade, et al.

So what are the differences between a REAL Chinese made Gold Crown and a FAKE Chinese made Gold Crown? Brunswick doesnt make tables anymore they lease out their name and have them made by commission is my understanding. What if the same company made the REAL ones and the FAKE ones. Hard to tell at that point?
yeeeeeaaaaahhh.

I used to work for a company that had clothing manufactured in China and we'd contract 1m pieces...and the factory would keep the machines running for 40% longer.

And there are Korean tables that are GC copies too...Hollywood is the brand.

I have heard the analogy before- buying a pool table is like buying a piano: a one-time purchase that will last a lifetime.

Be patient and get what you want.
