It's been too long since a show-your-Ginacue thread :)

Firstly, while I have not gone 101% insane: Too bad I can't rep you for each seperate reply!!
Secondly... OK, these are MARVELLOUS!!! Great pictures, either of Ernie and his works! That new, under-construction Spain blank cue is just perfect - and it is so nice to see some extra details of the blank itself and of the A-joint as well.

Thank you so much.

Forgot to add, I just recalled that I wanted to say these after looking back at the thread again:
Kevin, of course the #1 to me is the Burton Spain forearm cue but the very close second is that old barbell cue from the 1960's. What is strange to me is that the Blue Book says that Gus has introduced his barbell designs around the late 1970's - more likely early '80s, I can remember perfectly - but apparently Ernie has used this design two decades earlier! Maybe I have misunderstood what the BB was saying, maybe they were wrong, who knows, it's just something I noticed. I know that about Gus because barbells are my favourite cue design elements.
Pocono:
Great idea emailing Ernie, should he be too busy and not get back to you soon I'd recommend you giving him a call.

How?

Sorry for this, but I'm new here.

Is Ernie on this forum? How do I get ahold of him? I think he makes some of the most eye catching cues. Don't know how it plays, but when you have something that looks anything like the ones posted; I would imagine it'll be hard to take your eyes off it and try to stare down balls instead.

pm me info please.

Thanks

THAT BARBELL CUE IS AWESOME. MY FAVORITE NON-IVORY GINA, BY FAR.

That was a "catalog" cue from Ernie's first go-around as a maker. He made them with red like the one I'm showing, gold for sure and a few other colors I can't remember. Nice stuff.

Thanks

Kevin

Gus's barbells looked quite different, but you are right Ernie pioneered that design along with many many others.

Thanks

Kevin

Break Cue

Here's a pic of the ivory section handled cue that Ernie used as his break cue until a few months ago:

and one of the 2 off the hook ivory inlaid shafts that go with the cue (no he didn't break with the inlaid shafts):
