:: Jacob Hulsey :: AZ Cue of the Year Artist Strikes AGAIN!!!

I love of it when somebody comes along and blows ordinary out of the water. Your innovation is borderline arousing. :D

Matt
Its set aside for when the time comes.

As far as the big head thing goes....My lack of knowledge and experience keeps me in check pretty regular!

As far as legendary status....well, in the most humble way possible....if that wasnt atleast one of my goals then i'd probably look at doing something else

Your unique combination of humbleness with personal drive will get you there, I have no doubt. I look forward to meeting you in person one day and Jive can always feel free to send me one of your cues for a test drive:thumbup:

Beauty!

Those veneered diamond "infinity" inlays are badass! I don't even want to think about how he did that, simply mesmerizing. Nice cue :thumbup2:

its funny you say that...when cutting the lower "double diamond" inlay, i invisioned it as a possible female physique. Would be fairly simple to add some veneer hair, some upperbody decor, etc. I actually dryfit the inlay into a pc of junk wood to test the pocket, then drew a head and hair etc. around it.

You need to get out of the shop more often!!! I am really worried about the "test the pocket part" at least lock the door so the kids don't walk in.

Wow! Imagination and creativity being married with a mind boggling amount of ability! And all I can say is...wow!

Jive - You lucky dog! ;)
Jake - You deserve to be the Big Dog! :)

(Not sure why I went with canine references there! :o )

this is cool, the design of crossover veneers is creative and amazing:thumbup:

Jake is a lucky dog!

Larry, I took him out of the shop the other day and we went to the casino. I went my own way and left him to whatever gambling devices he wanted. I get a text about an hour later saying hit a $3200 pot. I ask where he was and he told me and I go find him and as I walk up he hits a $1600 pot. Some people have it and some don't. Needless to say, I did no good but it was fun to get out for a little while.

Very funny buddy...you do realize we can always trade places and all the cues we have? I'll trade all my cues for just 10% of your cues. We have a deal?

wow, i have to admit it took me a month to "wrap my brain" around the cue of the year, Sometimes i'm just slow to pick up on some things, other times i'm ahead of the curve. This was one of those times i was way behind.

I saw the voting and was surprised how much attention this cue got, I was happy to see someone new or new to me win, that was very cool. However I still didnt get it, i had no beef with it, its a vote by some of the best smartest cue people there are. I was the village idiot.

After a month of looking at every pic of the cue many times, POW!!! BANG!!! it hit me and I could clearly see why it was the winner. FWIW my favorite was "Purple Haze" and my Szam 2nd, i'm always honest. Purple haze got almost no votes, i didnt vote for my cue or any other. Back to Hulsey, I finally got it and then this thread comes along with another AMAZING cue, and they are in the same pic!!!!! How lucky is that?!?!?

Great design's, colors, wood, just everything. i'm very impressed.
