Embarrassed

I DID NOT want this posted on here. That's why the offer was in the form of a PM. I am a little embarrassed about it to tell you the truth. It was just a Pechauer that I got for putting on a Pechauer Tour event at my pool room years ago, so it didn't cost me anything. It was not a high end cue by any means, it still has the original sticker on it. I'm going to go find it now.

Wow, the sticker says $480! So I would value it at half that, the wholesale price. Any way, I just felt bad for the guy and I knew I had this cue laying around that I never use. It just seemed like the right thing to do. If you follow your heart, you'll always do the right thing. :)

I told Ted that there are many great people in the pool world, and some not so great. It is a good use of this forum to warn others about the bad ones. And my offer stands if he is not reunited with his cue.

Jay, I expected you to be a little embarrassed by this thread. However from the comments so far, I feel like I did the right thing, and maybe certain individuals need to see the way that good people treat each other, and think about where they are headed in this short little life we live.

Whoever gets that cue someday will have something that is blessed with good Karma. A little humility is good sometimes. You've received a lot of it on here over the years, but I think you can see how many friends you have on AZ, so no retractions here, and have at him people.

I would rather sit a poker table with him and have someone behind him letting me know what his two cards are. :)

Doug

the way he has been running you wouldnt even need that to win. OUCH sorry Jay!!!

On the square Jay is great, one of my best friends in pool, wego way back, but have really became great friends this past 2 years, we watch tennis, play 8ball(yes he is winners), travel to torunments together sometimes, and just hang out. He is a great guy and I love it when he talks about the past and whats the best is he dosent BS about it, he has told me things that I knew about and he is spot on-I like that.

Jay is like a walking Billiard Encyclopedia that promotes the game, plays good poker and speaks eloquently. He is a great person to have on your side and hope that one day someone approaches Jay to form/sponsor a nationwide tour, with him at the helm it wouldn't do anything but succeed.

Jay,

Don't feel embarrassed for being a good person. It's great to read a thread like this and I wish there were many more like you in the pool world (and I know there are quite a few like Jay).

Jay, my friend, I just wanted to let you know that I recently had a deal go bad with an electrician that ended up costing me an extra $1000. Just thought I'd mention it. ;)

Jimmy,

Next time you need an electrician, I have an old electrician friend who maybe able to help you. We were met at the pool hall and played pool and golf about 40 years ago long before he went into the trade. btw, he is my friend but I can't get him to give up the John Showman cue that John built many years ago when he lived in Phoenix for awhile:smile:

And Jay, I could use a cue or two:D :D

Jay,

It may have been a small thing to you, no sacrifice at all, but it was a big thing to bluescues, and a nice fuzzy feeling for everyone esle. :lovies:

Indeed!

We make a living by what we get.
But we make a life by what we give.
And I kid you not!
.

X's:

I tried giving rep but the system returned with this:

"You cannot give Reputation to the same post twice."

Puzzled me because I only did it once.

I think reading AZ has probably scared some newbies to pool off by reading some of the things that happen in pool and that there is no money in it. But most of them would have quit anyhow. It's mostly good. Johnnyt SORRY WRONG THREAD.

Jay is the man! :p

Funny story... I was looking to purchase a Pechauer several, several months ago and an AZer offered to give me one! He (FatBoy) shall remain nameless though. :D

Many AZers have big hearts! I like to see threads like these!

It is always nice to see good people like this.

Jay you have nothing to be embarassed about!!

If the world had more people like you it would be a better place :)

Rep to ya! and god bless you and yours!

Jay ROCKS!!!

He is a gentleman and has said some very nice things about me in the past. This gesture does not surprise me, but it is still nice to hear about it as it only reinforces what we already know about him.

What a fat fart! My girl friend tells me I'm pregnant. I have been trying for the last few weeks to lose that belly. Let me tell you it ain't easy. I'm walking 2 miles plus every other day, at a brisk pace. I can't do it every day because my feet get too sore.

I've lost maybe one inch off my waist in three weeks. I don't think I'll ever be a 30" waist again, but I'd settle for 32". :)
