Do You Have Any Maps Of The Dry Tortugas

Wow, there is a lot going on in there.

I believe that we anchored up by colrex 12 and caught three keeper grouper. Next week we're trolling spoons by L4 for kingfish.

the bottom thing moved a week after the operation so I gotta do it again, this is the most brutal thing ever, 3 years and counting...

thanks for posting the pics, also I have had alot of PM's from people offering me suggertions on what to do-which is very cool, good people here. It really means alot to me that people care enough to help. But sadly my condition is so bad that we still cant figure out whats really wrong, we might have it when we put that bottom left implant back into position-it spreads the load on my lower back and might reduce the pain, but we dont know the source of the pain, we have had this case infront of litterly dozens of doctors around the world. No one can figure it out, my doctors here refered me to Germany as they arethe world leaders in spinal proceedures, the FDA has the Drs hands tied up here. I cant take this much longer...

Has anyone suggested a significant focus on weight loss? I say this with sincerity, I'm not mocking you. I'd be surprised if it hadn't already been discussed, but if I were you that would be my #1 priority.

Just my $0.02

(At 24, I have already experienced upper cross syndrome, a compression fracture and a ruptured disc at L5-S1 :( )

I'm sorry Rick, I can't see the picture. I just get the frame. There's too much glare in the middle of the picture.

And I ALMOST can! Thanks for the great photo Rick!

Whoa.... Jay, first time I've seen you without the cap... You are the posessor of a solar panel for a sex machine......:D :D (Refered to in my time as a "chrome dome")......:D :D

Perfect form?...

Not picking, but the people I have been instructed by, among them, Jerry Briesath, told me to get my arm closer to my body. Jay's looks to be quite a ways out to the side in these pictures.

Different strokes for different folks...........:D

Here's your x-rays. I split the picture into two parts so it wouldn't be so wide.

Was that one of Mike Page's diagrams?

I don't do anything right, except put balls in the hole. Wanna see? :)

Yeah I was going to comment on that style too, oliver ortman does the same thing, but that looks even more exgarrated, dont know how people do that, but considering jay is a pro, it doesnt really matter. Micheal Johnson was told he didn't run like everybody else, he said if I ran like everybody else, id be back there like everybody else.

i saw enough yesterday, beating up cripples like me...shame...:p ;)

I did make a few banks on you, but the last two turned me on. I looked at you and said "I can see the pockets now" and banged a couple of rockets cross side. Truman would have been proud of me.

Okay, I'm done bragging for a while. :D

HAHAHAHAHA... very funny. Jerry says "X" and if you don't do "X" you can't play?

Good answer. Gave my drunk ass a good smile.

I've had some back issues as well including pain so severe that the doctor wanted to give me morphine after the Demerol cocktail had no effect. I second James' opinion on weight loss. Being thin with moderate core muscle tone will greatly reduce the everyday stresses on your back. Think about it in terms of removing a 20-50 pound vest and it starts to make a lot of sense. Its not hard to lose 1-2 pounds per week IMHO.

I personally have had far fewer problems with my back when I've been thin.

So I actually did get in action in Vegas. I heard there was a big game at the Cue Club on Sunday. Gus from Phoenix was playing Freddie Boggs three thousand worth of One Hole. They were playing seven ahead and it was in it's second day.

So I cruised down there to scope it out, being the pool degenerate that I am. I ran into the whole Vegas crowd sweating the game. Walter Glass, Jim Lewis, Mailman Gabe and several others, including big Henry the owner of the Cue Club. Henry is originally from Canada and is a straight shooting snooker player. He and I used to play at Yankee Doodles in Long Beach, until I gave him the "cure". :)

So I'm sweating the game and Curtis, a pretty fair player from Sacramento, asks me to play. He asks me to give him 9-7 in One Pocket or 8-7 in Banks. Hello! I explained to him I don't give spots, I either play even or not at all. I don't even like to get spots. If I think a guy is a better player, I'll just leave him alone. I don't woof at Walter Glass for just that reason.

I told Curtis I was hungry and was going to eat anyway. I tried to get into the Thai food place next door but it was a 40 minute wait. So I walked a little farther to the Mexican food restaurant. I had to fade non stop mariachi music, but they gave me a burrito as big as my arm, and I washed it down with horchata, my favorite drink.

Now I strolled back into the Cue Club all fat and sassy. And stuffed! Curtis jumped right on me, smart kid. It's never good to play right after a big meal. But when he asked me to play Banks even, I couldn't refuse. We played on the second table in the "pit", a super tight Gold Crown with trick rails. Toby had it specially set up for him, and he tortured a million road men on it.

He wanted to play full rack banks, not my favorite, but why not. When he broke safe the first game, I knew I was in for a long night. I told him I can play "One Pocket" Banks too. He won the first two games for 50 a pop and then we traded games for a while. I felt like if I could get zeroed in on the table I could beat him. His style was make one and play safe. My style is to try to hit you with a four or five pack. All that safety play won't do you any good if your opponent is running four or five banks at a time. Except I wasn't running any banks, just one or two at a time.

Finally I began to find the range, and ran some threes and fours. That was it! I won two straight games and got even. We had played for four hours, and I wasn't unhappy about quitting even. I'm such a pansy anymore. I was worn out!

About that time who other than Archie the Greek shows up. After complimenting me up and down, he asked me to stake him in a 20-40 No Limit game, telling me he was the nuts. What else? Now this is a game that takes a bankroll to play, maybe ten grand to do it justice. I looked at Archie and showed him the 800 I had in my pocket. I said Archie what do you think you can do with this. He just laughed.

Archie had to tell all gathered about how he hustled me in L.A. a few years before. I had him stuck a few thousand playing One Pocket and he got me to give him 5-3 and the breaks. I was betting 500 a game and he had another 500 a game on the side. He beat me six in a row before I pulled up. He beat the side, but only got even with me.

Now Curtis pipes up, do I want to give Archie that game again? I said no, but I will play you some more banks for a 100 a game. That game will have to wait for later. I won't be back to Vegas until May.

P.S. Gus finally beat Freddie after a 20 hour marathon.

Don`t expect me to call you when I come to LA.You have my telephone number and did not give me a call.
On sunday around 5 pm I felt very sleepy from Freddy`s slow play and left the place to go home.when I was leaving I found three other rail birds were actually snoring.Freddie was taking 2minutes for each shot.
Gus is like a side kick to scott Frost. Our AZ poster from phoenix roasted Gus in a big 9 ball match more than 10 years ago in clicks billiards,Tucson.
By the way curtis was the one who backed Bustamonti in that historical match with Johny archer in early 90s in Toledo,Ohio.

Yeah...it's that really crappy stance....used by Ralf Souquet. Can't believe either one of them can make a ball!
