Jayson Shaw in the Hunt for Another 14.1 Record

Patrick its a standard GC4.

Side pockets 5 1/8. Standard everything. We appreciate your
questions. We will not be posting pictures.
Thanks. Any chance you’d tell us the corner pocket throat measurement? Last question, I promise.

pj <- not like you have anything else to do 🙂

Ah ................ missed. Total 508.

[Bobby said 509, but it was 36 racks plus 4 = 508.]
You are correct and thanks for counting. I saw 5 balls in the holes and 10 on the table. After looking at the last rack i counted and was wrong. We will go back and review the whole run and count each rack. We could be off as we could have not clicked the counter 1 time or a couple times but def didnt ever click it to many.

Well, he does run a ton of balls rather fast. But I am not sure that the table he is playing on now has been played on by the other competitors, I believe that it was said this was a new reworked table. Also, was the table on which he ran the record the same one as the other competitors were using? I thought that set up was also a bit different as well. Not being controversial - just repeating what I believe that I had heard or what I see.

Hundred ball runs on this table for someone of Jason's caliber are not really a big deal. The pocket size and configuration is absolutely no challenge for him to pocket almost any conceivable shot on the table. You can see him barely focusing on OB aiming points, so he is not wasting focus energy there at all. He can play out of pattern almost at will bc making a shot is not a factor for him on this table.

His focus is on opening the balls, keeping the CB free, getting a break shot, and not scratching- doing those four things for him on this table and 100 ball runs are a given. I hope that he hits the 500 mark today!

Its a stock GC4.nothing more needed to know is there?
Yes. I have a stock GC 4 and my pockets don’t look that big. But looks could be deceiving. You could end all the controversy by simply taking the measurements. It’s your show though.

It would take a few minutes to show it and get past it - you’ve spent multiples of that amount of time telling people to STFU.

But OK - like you’ve also said many times, it’s your party. I hope Jason isn’t disappointed with how his “record” is received.

I sincerely hope that circumstances allow part of Jayson's reaction to adverse critiquing or disappointing under-reception of his performance(s) to be simply following the implied advice of bygone TV pianist, Liberace when he was asked about how he reacted:

"It hurts me so bad that I cry all the way to the bank."
