I would like to Defend myself here.

I sold a Break CUE for $75. Cue $60 + $10 SHIPPING +$5 PACKAGING

I WILL ACCURATELY POST THE TEXTS to my knowledge THAT I SENT to the customer
"Its best you ship it back, I can still use it to break, warping only affects a shooters cue, Let me know what you want to do, Whatever it is we can work it out"

" Ship the cue back properly packaged with insurance, Once I recieve it and check it Ill paypal you"


The Customer wants me to REFUND HIM $75 + $15 ( SHIPPING TO RETURN IT TO ME)

BEFORE HE SHIPS THE CUE BACK TO ME

I gave him the example of, if i buy a TV from walmart, and it turns out to be broken, I have to return the TV first to get the refund.

You can't really be serious can you? Unfrickinbelievable. It's people like you that are the problem with the online purchasing (and are problems in general).

With pretty much every other business in the world (online or otherwise) you have to return the merchandise to get a refund. That is the universal normal standard accepted way of doing things (and it makes sense and is the best way for a variety of reasons if you actually take the time to think about it).

To this point the seller has done absolutely nothing wrong. He says he will give you a refund when you send the item back, so do what you are supposed to do and send the item back to him. If you don't get a refund (I bet you will) then and only then do you have a gripe. You have got a lot of responses so far, and every single person disagrees with you and agrees with the above, yet you are still digging your heels in.

So far the only problem with this deal is an unreasonable idiot buyer who is the worst kind of all--the kind that leaves undeserved negative feedback when they don't get their way, no matter how unreasonable and out of line their way is.
 
Almost nobody is gonna send you a cue, before you pay for it (unless you already know the seller, or they know you). If you use a credit card or Paypal, you have a way to protect yourself, in the event that something goes wrong. You decided to send cash/money gram. That's your choice. Did you send him your money before he sent you the cue? Of course you did...and he sent you the cue. You don't like it. Okay. Now...send him the cue back, and he'll refund your money. If he doesn't, THEN come on here and complain...but give the guy a chance.

from a guy in Poland who bought 3 shafts from me, and wanted to return them 2 months later.

Would anybody here take the shafts back? and offer a refund??

Yes i want my 75 plus full shipping...if u wouldve described it warped in ur thread then i wouldnt be griping! Yes i feel im in the right cuz ur a horrible seller! If u wouldve bd honest well who knows. And to the guy asking about my online transactions ive done several in car audio. More then 30. And if i sent tbe item misdescriped id refund the money....i have for a few transactions where the person misread or i mstated it incorrectly....and i stated i want my money back as i sent it. My paypal has not been verified.

Dude grow up. Its possible he didn't know it was warped. Or perhaps it was warped during shipping. Whatever the case send it back and get your refund and stop crying like a little baby

obviously, this guy thinks me scoring 75 bucks on a warped cue is worth my reputation, for selling thousands of dollars of cues on this site.
 
IMO, the buyer should send back the cue and if found to be warped, the seller should refund the money plus the shipping.

REASON...the buyer didn't get what was described so why should they be out any money at all? I could understand not refunding the shipping if the buyer just didn't like it.

I do understand that in alot of transactions, buyer pays return shipping but on a few transactions I had turn sour on eBay, eBay refunded me(or the seller refunded me) my payment plus shipping. What if the item was listed with "free shipping"? who pays the return shipping then?

I know people take it for granted that buyer should pay the return shipping. I just don't understand why if they didn't get what they thought they were getting. Yes, its a small amount to bicker about but that could be said on both sides. :shrug:

Ok.. I have tried to help you, but you are obviously beyond help.

The way it works here and in the REAL world is like this.

If you buy a product and want to return it, you return the item and you get you money back. You pay shipping to return the item, not the seller.

If that doesn't work for you, I suggest that you buy off of eBay and not here on AZB. Everyone works together here to make this a good place (for the most part :rolleyes:) to do business.

It appears to me that you will not fit in here very well.

Tells ya a little story.
I am not in the supply business, only repairs. I once sold a guy a Moori tip as a favor, (my cost) only because he told me that he installs tips himself.

A week later, right in front of me, he gives the other repairman in town, both the tip and a shaft. I was kind of POed.

A while later, I get a call asking me if that was a Med I gave him. I told him yes because Med Moori is the only one I stock. He told me that the tip plays like a hard. He was fishing for another tip. I told him that once someone else installs the tip, its out of my hands.

I also mentioned that he should bring the shaft over, I will cut off the supposed bad tip and replace it. He would have no part of that deal. Wonder why. Its not like I have a bad rep for my work or anything.

See, if I was to have given him another tip, he now has two shafts with two brand new Moori tips on them for the price of one tip.

A while later, I hear that I sell counterfeit Moori tips. I get my tips from the same place as many repair men get them. Doubtful it was bogus.

Can you see the cross over between your post and mine.

Send the cue back and get another cue or your money back.
The seller isn't obligated to trust you any more than you have to trust him. Do you think you should have his $75 in your hand and the cue to boot? What if you decide not to send it back.

Too many hasty posts lately that blast either the maker or sellers without trying to rectify the situation privately first.

I just want to chime in and say that I know JB personally and have NEVER had any problems in any of my transactions with him.

I personally tested and examined the break cue in question approx 3 weeks ago at Golden Cue Billards. I was very interested in purchasing the break cue myself. At the time, the cue rolled straight both together and apart. The ONLY reason that I did not purchase the cue was because Cannon Break Cues are all 24oz and it was just too heavy for me.

JB has sold THOUSANDS of dollars of custom cues on this site. He understands that reputation is everything. It would be ludicrous for him to destroy his rep over a $75 break cue.

If the cue was damaged during shipping then just send it back. I know from first hand experience that the cue was straight 3 weeks ago...

Sometimes things happen during shipping. That's what insurance is for. (I believe that I read the package was insured.)

Either way, JB has already agreed to refund your money. Stop your whining and be glad you are not being charged a "15% Restocking Fee" as many other online retailers would charge.

If your not planning on sending the cue back until YOUR terms are met, and you obviously dont wanna listen to the advice of numerous good guys on here...then why dont you post a video of the "warpage" ? Honestly, your acting like this is a $4000 cue. Send it back. I'm positive he's gonna refund your money....just so he can b*tch slap you on this forum. He's definately gonna look like the good guy in the end. And you...your gonna pout about it no matter HOW it turns out.

I've bought from at least a dozen people here, and received all of 2 iTraders in return. That could easily be 0 were it not for those 2 who returned the rating. Don't let 1 person who's unreasonable screw it up for everyone.
 
I just got it i believe its used. The shaft was slightly warped when i got it. Then i broke with it and it got worse. Dont make much sense. I can straighten it back to where its slightly warped but then does it again next break! It breaks good i like it but the shaft seems like junk... my local cue maker said he'd make me a shaft for around 75. Which isnt bad but he'll make me a brand new break cue for 220ish

So, this is why you don't want to send it back. You actually want to use the butt and get a refund also! People like you are going to make it very hard for people to continue to do business online. Oh, you can't warp a shaft and straighten it out like that! You didn't like the shaft, so, you think your going to scam this guy for the price you were told you could get a new shaft made for. Sound about right?

Actually you are completely wrong....i explained it to him about how when i broke the shaft wrong bend and stay that way. I offered to find a reasonable deal with him so i could just get a new shaft...so u sir should stay outta something that determines something from reading cuz u sir are horrible at understanding words in a sentence!
