No I don't feel demeaned by you calling me a super nobody. I am one. Perhaps you can tell me who IS a super somebody around here? You?
Yes, me. In this industry I am a somebody, not a super somebody. I have 25+ years of experience and am willing to share it with the forum. Imagine how nice it would be if the super somebodies with more experience who read this forum would post more.
But do you know why they don't? Because of people like you who decide for whatever reason that you are going to use your super nobody status to "challenge" them constantly.
Here is my problem with you: I may or may not "chase you around continually" (I don't) because I believe there are people better qualified than you to educate the world on how to play pool, and you get a LOT of airtime on the back of your business.
You do chase me around but anyway....but there are plenty of people more qualified to teach than me. I have constantly said that I am a student which I am and a cheerleader for the methods that I find to work. That seems to bother you.
If I played like you and put out loads of videos telling people they must do this, that or the other, I'd be laughed out of here, and rightly so.
Again you twist things. I have not put out even one video telling people that they MUST do anything. I have put out videos explaining what I study, why I like it and telling them they can try it if they like to.
In fact I put out a video explicitly saying that no one NEEDS an aiming system. If you're willing to put in all the time learning thousands of shots by trial and error and feel then you don't need any sort of guidance on how to aim. Not even ghost ball.
The trouble is, you've believed your own hype. You've fallen for it hook, line and sinker. You REALLY have to deliver against Lou, the pressure is entirely on your shoulders from my perspective. You've set yourself up for a complete humiliation. I'm telling you that straight, with no malice intended. Lou has played you beautifully.
You wish it were that way. The fact is that the results ON THE TABLE have convinced me. Nothing else. Since neither you nor Lou knows what I know you are the ones who believe your own bullshit. Lou got spanked once and he knows he is in for a world of pain in a few weeks. I am constantly learning and if by some miracle Lou manages to make a move against me that I don't have an answer for then I will put it back on him when the shot calls for that move. He on the other hand will be helpless when he realizes that I can make bank shots from almost everywhere with zero fear. And when he sees that he can't leave me long shots because I will nail them from every angle he will understand the power of CTE.
But should I lose then it's not a humiliation for me because I am a part time player. I work and have a business and am not retired spending all day playing pool. I haven't set myself up and been set up by a hall of famer as a great player who has a lock against an APA3. That's where Lou is at.
He knows he is in trouble. If not then he would have doubled the bet the first time I asked him to.
Anyway, I would prefer good instructors to get lots of airtime instead. When I first joined here there were loads of great threads about instruction, stance, grip, even aiming, but where have they all gone? The main forum is crushingly boring these days, lacking in focus, just a collection of vaguely pool related jetsam and flotsam. I have no problem with you getting airtime for your cases. All the rest, less so.
Take that up with the forum management. There has never been any focus on the main board, the admins divided it up into categories and they move threads according to their judgement.
There are plenty of good instructors who do get airtime. If you want to discuss form then why not start threads on that and leave aiming alone? What makes you think that people are totally focused on aiming alone here? In fact despite all the arguing about aiming the majority who are interested in getting better are not interested in aiming.
And can you explain what you mean when you say you 'back up your words'? What do you mean by this? I see a lot of words but not much action.
I mean do exactly what Stan did, do what Gerry did, do what Duke did, put up your proof on video and show us that you can do what they did. So far every shot challenge presented by a system opponent was taken up by a CTE proponent and conquered. Not one single opponent has been able to refute or duplicate those results using their feel methods. Nor have they even tried publicly. Maybe some of them tried privately and realized how difficult it is.
I asked you to duplicate Stan's videos. IF aiming doesn't matter and any player with a good stroke already aims perfectly then it shouldn't be hard to duplicate Stan's videos.
That's what I mean by back up your words.
