Hi there,
Jesse Engle is running around the country taking on the best players in the world wherever he can and doing it on his own bankroll and money.:yikes:
He's keeping his head above water which is really hard to do traveling and playing in tournys all over the country.:help:
His marketability right now is extreme, being that he just turned 19 years of age. There should be a whole lot of pool oriented companies wanting to sponsor a young man like this. Plus the fact that he is just a real descent clean cut kid that's never been in any kind of trouble.:grin-angelic::groucho:
But I don't think he really knows how to find sponsors or ask for one. As is the case with many young pool players out there today.:scratchhead:
I really enjoyed seeing this young man accel from a junior player to what he is doing now. Myself as well as many others have kind of tried to take him under our wing and help him as much as we could. Jesse definitely has a knack for filtering out the bad advice and just sticking with what works for him. His knowledge is so far ahead of his age.
A few sponsors would sure help allow him to reach his peak in this tough world of pool. Right now he kind of reminds me of David against Goliath or even Davey Crocket at the Alamo. He's going after some of the best players in the world.:yeah:
And it doesn't even have to be a pool related business. Just somebody that has alot of bucks that wants to be a part of something that could be very rewarding.
It's not very often that a young man such as Jesse Engle comes along with the talent and shear determination that he has at the young age of only 19.
It wasn't an accident when I predicted that Jesse would beat Earl Strickland at the US Open 9 - 11. Jesse won 10-11.
I had inside information. Kind of like insider trading but you can't get in trouble for this one.
And it wasn't an accident when the players on AZ asked me what I thought would happen when he played Mike Segal and I said Jesse would beat him. Jesse won 11-0 and played a Perfect Set.
Jesse didn't win the US Open but he was one of the biggest stories there. He's only 18 at the time. Imagine how we all played at 18. And he's just going to get better and better and better.
This young man is liable to beat anyone at anytime as he just did with Ralph Seuqet just recently.
I hope players around the country that have seen this young man play and present himself in such a proffesional way will keep bumping this thread to the top and hopefully just maybe something could possibly happen in the way of a sponsor soon.
His marketability is right now. He could be a big asset to anyone trying to bring recognition to their product. Plus it just been so much fun watching him do what he's doing. Beating some of the best players in the world.
I'll bet some of these guys feel like they got sucker punched but I assure you they were not. If Jesse beats these guys from time to time it's because he was supposed to if he plays like he can and can keep his focus. :yeah:
I also had the good fortune of meeting his parents at a tournament a few months ago. I can see why Jesse is the way he is. Very nice people and my hats off to them. All that needs to be said is great job Mom and Dad.
Your results speak for themselves with Jesse.
Tell of your experience of playing this young man and what a fierce competitor he is with also such a friendly demeanor.
I hope many of the players in Minnesota will also chime in because they know Jesse and know how special what he has done already and is doing right now is.
I'm not trying to put Jesse up on some kind of pedestal but I would like some potential sponsors to really take a good look at this young man.
I think that anyone that sponsors this young man will be pleasantly surprised in the long run.
You will get you moneys worth...........
Thanks for looking............Just trying to help..........
